Or perhaps...
"I suppose when a woman is entirely blinded by love, her IQ drops to zero, right?"
When it came to Felix, Brinley had always been a total fool.
So her current descent into madness? She had brought it entirely on herself.
Brinley had completely snapped.
With her hair wild and disheveled, looking like a vengeful ghost, she stumbled back to the basement and immediately dialed Felix's number.
The second he answered, she shrieked into the phone, "The baby isn't mine! He's not even mine! Felix Fowler, you're going to rot in hell! You're going to get what's coming to you!"
"You took some other bitch's bastard and made me raise him! What kind of sick monster are you to play me like this?!"
In front of Starla, she had acted like she didn't believe it.
But how could she not?
Even though she and Starla were bitter enemies, Starla didn't need to lie about something like this. Even for revenge, there was no need to fabricate a story.
If Starla said the child wasn't hers, then it wasn't.
"Who is she?! Who the hell is she?! Whose baby is that?! How could you... how could you betray me..."
Saying the word 'betray' felt like swallowing broken glass.
Once upon a time, she had betrayed Faraday. She had betrayed the entire Yelchin family.
Lately, Darleen had constantly been asking her why she did it.
And now... she was hurling the word 'why' at Felix.
"Whatever you wanted, I did it! I did everything for you! Why would you betray me?!"
"You've been lying to me this whole time! You just used me, didn't you?!" Brinley screamed into the receiver.
Wasn't he the reason she ended up like this? She had compromised everything for him. She had crossed lines she swore she never would.
What right did she have to ask Felix 'why'?
"Hahahaha... hahahaha!" Brinley burst into maniacal laughter.
It was the sound of true delirium. She was fully unhinged.
Even with Felix and Harriet Seabrook pushing her to the brink over the last few days, she hadn't broken. But now, she was entirely gone.
She laughed at what an absolute idiot she had been. She had betrayed a man who worshipped the ground she walked on, all for a piece of trash.
And now, she had been left with nothing. It was pure karma.
"Felix, you'll get what's coming to you! The universe is watching everything you do!"
"Karma? You actually believe in that nonsense?" Felix scoffed.
"Aren't you experiencing it right now? Look at what's happening to Fowler Group in Marina City! Isn't that karma?"
Felix went dead silent.

"You're a failure as a husband and coward as a Man" This is what i want to say in Fairfax hahaha you dont deserved a wife if you cant protect her...
Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
