The lawyers arrived promptly.
Fairfax and the board of directors had already signed all the documents, including the major shareholders.
The sheer volume of paperwork surrendered was a testament to the absolute chaos that had ripped through Yelchin Group over the past few weeks.
The lead attorney verified every single clause.
Finally, he handed the stack to Starla. "Ms. Lansbury, everything is in order."
"Good."
Starla took the files, signed her name on every dotted line, and pushed them back across the table toward Yvette Yorke.
Just as Yvette reached for them, Starla slammed her hand down on the folders. "Is this it?"
"What more could you possibly want?" Yvette's tone sharpened.
She couldn't believe it. What kind of divorced socialite demanded this much? Starla was asking for the moon and the stars. She wanted the entire Yelchin Group.
Yvette knew Starla was only acting this bold because she had Herbert Farley backing her. But did she really think she could marry Herbert after this messy divorce? The Farley family would never allow it, just like the Yelchin elders had once opposed her.
Starla's gaze was ice. "Where is the rest of the Yelchin family's money?"
The agreements on the table only covered the corporation. Not the liquid assets.
At the mention of money, Yvette's face turned completely sour.
"You're getting the entire Yelchin Group. Why do you need their personal accounts too?"
Her greed was bottomless! The company wasn't enough; now she wanted to bleed the family dry.
"Why do I need the money? What does that have to do with you? You're just an errand runner," Starla retorted coldly.
"Then they can hold onto their useless money for the rest of their miserable lives," Starla said breezily. "Because this isn't over."
Still acting stubborn?
Clearly, the misery she had inflicted on them so far wasn't enough. They were on the verge of being out on the streets, yet they still wanted to play hardball.
Yvette was speechless.
Her heart sank. She hadn't expected Starla to be this unrelenting. Taking the company wasn't enough to satisfy her vengeance.
Starla remembered every single slight, every drop of bad blood between her and the Yelchins. She wasn't going to let a single one of them off the hook. The definition of 'heartless' was currently sitting right in front of Yvette.
"You and Fairfax were married. Why let it get this ugly? Your demands are completely unreasonable!"
In Yvette's eyes, this was a marital dispute. Why drag the extended family into the crossfire? If Fairfax surrendered his empire, that should have been the end of it.

"You're a failure as a husband and coward as a Man" This is what i want to say in Fairfax hahaha you dont deserved a wife if you cant protect her...
Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
