"What is the meaning of this? You explicitly stated that as long as he gave you everything, you would sign the papers! So what's going on now? You have it all, and now you're refusing to divorce him?"
Darleen was livid.
God knew!
She had waited in agony for the two of them to finally end it. She desperately wanted them divorced.
Just end it!
It would be for the best...
Every minute a woman like that remained tied to the Yelchins was a risk to the family.
Hearing Darleen's furious accusations, especially the implication that *she* was the one dragging her feet, brought a mocking smirk to Starla's lips.
"You think your precious son is some sort of prize? You think I'm the one refusing? It's your son who won't sign! He ran away."
Darleen was speechless.
Xenia stared, wide-eyed.
The barrage of insults they had prepared for Starla was instantly deflected right back at Darleen.
It had been like this lately.
She wanted to tear Starla down, but was Starla someone she could even touch anymore?
Darleen's breathing grew ragged with anger.
"You can reach him, right? Why don't you give him a call and ask him what the hell he's playing at?"
Darleen opened her mouth but no words came out.
"Everything was settled. Why the hell did he run?" Starla's tone dripped with thick sarcasm.
Hearing the word "run" made Darleen's chest heave with indignation.
"Stop spouting nonsense! There's no way he's refusing the divorce!" she snapped.
She had seen with her own two eyes how desperate he had been to sever ties lately.
Now Starla was claiming he was the one holding out? Impossible!
And saying he ran away?
Who was she trying to humiliate?
Hadn't she tortured them enough recently? Now she had to utter such vile things to degrade him.
As for Fairfax, her heart had been dead to him for a long time.
So the one refusing the divorce couldn't possibly be Starla!
The realization that it was her own son holding things up made Darleen completely lose her composure.
She pulled out her phone right in front of Starla.
She was going to demand an explanation. Things had escalated to this point; wasn't a clean break the best outcome for everyone?
She dialed the number.
It rang once, followed by the rapid *beep-beep* of a disconnected line.
Darleen frowned. What did that mean?
Refusing to give up, she dialed again.
Same result!
Had she... been blocked?
As the thought materialized in her mind, Darleen's heart began to pound wildly.

"You're a failure as a husband and coward as a Man" This is what i want to say in Fairfax hahaha you dont deserved a wife if you cant protect her...
Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
