She honestly didn't know where else to turn...
After exhausting all her options, her mind locked onto The Yelchin Estate.
The place where she used to live with Faraday Yelchin.
Over the agonizing hours of the night, she had replayed her memories with him countless times. She realized now that the days she spent with Faraday had been the best moments of her life.
If she hadn't destroyed it all, she wouldn't be suffering in the gutter right now.
The pain was matched only by her suffocating regret.
After struggling through the night, her only desire was to return to the home she once shared with him.
...
At The Yelchin Estate.
Garret finished checking the inventory and approached Starla. "Everything is ready, Ms. Lansbury. We can leave at your convenience."
Everything worth taking had been packed.
Whatever Starla didn't care for was left to gather dust.
"Let's go, then," she said.
She glanced at Herbert, who gave a brief nod and stood up.
Just as they were preparing to walk out, a maid hurried into the room. "Ms. Lansbury, Brinley Seabrook is here. She's asking to see you."
Brinley? Hadn't she already been kicked to the curb? Why on earth did she want to see her?!
Herbert frowned, his patience evaporating. "You don't need to report things like this. Tell her to get lost."
He already despised everyone associated with the Yelchins, especially since the divorce remained unsigned. But his hatred for Brinley was on another level entirely, considering how viciously she had tormented Starla in the past.
Starla nodded in agreement. "I'm not seeing her."
She had zero desire to look at that woman's face!
Everything was over. There was no point in dragging this out.
"But she claims she has something extremely important to tell you," the maid pressed.
"What could she possibly have to say that matters?" Herbert's tone turned icy.
"You destroyed your own health back then, and now you're shocked that a little cold breeze is splitting your head open?"
Hearing Starla casually throw her past erratic behavior back in her face felt like swallowing crushed glass.
She had lost.
She had lost spectacularly to the girl she once considered completely insignificant. Brinley used to look right through Starla, absolutely certain of her own superiority.
But now, it was over.
She had gambled everything and lost it all...
Unable to formulate a comeback, Brinley choked out, "I want to live here."
Saying it brought Faraday back to the forefront of her mind, and tears began to stream down her pale cheeks.
Starla merely arched an eyebrow, offering no response other than a deeply sarcastic look.
Brinley sniffled loudly. "This is my home. Mine and Faraday's."
Each word was drenched in tears, but there was a desperate edge of defiance in her tone!

"You're a failure as a husband and coward as a Man" This is what i want to say in Fairfax hahaha you dont deserved a wife if you cant protect her...
Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
