A Widow's Poison, A Wife's Rebellion novel Chapter 933

Herbert and Yardley were still waiting for a response, their tech team standing by on high alert. The moment her phone connected to a call or sent a text, they would have her exact coordinates.

However, the calls went unanswered, and the messages sank like stones in the ocean.

Frustrated, Yardley sent another text: [I agree to all your demands. You don't have to marry Herbert.]

Didn't she want respect? Didn't she want to make her own choices? Now that he was conceding to everything, shouldn't she feel a bit better?

Yardley assumed that by compromising this much, his rebellious sister would finally give him some sort of response.

Still nothing.

It was as if the message vanished into thin air. Yardley's temper flared. "That stubborn girl is taking this rebellion too far!"

He had never dealt with anyone who gave him this much of a headache. Anyone else who had dared defy him was already rotting in the ground.

Herbert frowned at him. "What did you say to her?"

"I promised her she doesn't have to marry you!" Yardley snapped.

Herbert's expression darkened instantly.

"We'll figure out the rest once we find her," Yardley said defensively. "Right now, we just need to coax her back."

Yardley knew exactly how elusive Amos's people could be. Now that they had slipped out of the estate, getting her back wouldn't be a walk in the park. The only viable strategy was to work on Starla directly and convince her to return willingly.

Herbert's breathing grew heavy. "Do you really think she can be coaxed?"
