Under such intense surveillance, Tanya was losing her mind. She couldn't deal with the baby, and with eyes on her at all times, she couldn't retaliate against Yulisa, either.
"Starla, I think I finally understand how you felt when Fairfax Yelchin drove you to the brink of insanity," Tanya admitted, her voice trembling. The confinement was literally driving her crazy.
Starla paused. Driven to insanity?
"Let's not talk about that right now," she replied smoothly. "Fairfax is dead."
Even now, bringing up Fairfax's 'death' elicited almost zero emotion from Starla. It was as if, in her world, he had always been someone who simply deserved to die! And he did deserve it...
Even though his demise was somewhat connected to her actions, it had only rattled her for a brief moment. Afterward, a cold calmness settled back in.
Sometimes Starla wondered if she was just cold-blooded. But wasn't this a perfectly normal reaction? Fairfax had inflicted so much trauma on her! Just because he had ultimately died because of her, was she supposed to mourn him and remain trapped in the past forever?
"So, I guess your nightmare is completely over now," Tanya murmured. At least the chapter with Fairfax was closed. But then there were Herbert Farley and Yardley Hoggart! Thinking of those two, Tanya felt a pang of sympathy for her friend, even though she herself desperately needed saving right now.
"I've already arranged for someone to come help you," Starla informed her.
"Don't," Tanya rejected the offer instantly.
"Excuse me?" Starla frowned. Don't? Did Tanya even realize the nightmare she was currently living in?
"Sending just anyone won't work," Tanya explained, her tone dripping with bitterness. "That bastard has locked down everything. The people he's assigned to watch me aren't your average guards."
They were highly trained professionals. Even the housekeepers were vigilant...
Those people could instantly restrain her with lightning-fast reflexes if she tried anything. In Tanya's eyes, no matter who Starla sent, it would be a futile effort!
"There are too many of them. He's got twenty or thirty people stationed inside and out, all just to keep an eye on me!" Tanya cried out in sheer agony. She never could have imagined Darian would stoop to this level of depravity.

"You're a failure as a husband and coward as a Man" This is what i want to say in Fairfax hahaha you dont deserved a wife if you cant protect her...
Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
