Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 117

Seeing Fairchild about to leave, Janina quickly stepped in front of him.

Fairchild had the temperament of a child; no matter how anxious she was, she had to handle him with care.

"Fairchild, she's dying. Please, save her."

Fairchild rolled his eyes at Janina but didn't leave. He slowly turned around, his face a mask of reluctance.

His messy hair looked like it had just survived a hurricane. "What's the rush? I've brought back people from the dead before. This one's still breathing, isn't she?"

Fairchild pouted and popped a piece of candy from his pocket into his mouth.

Janina's temples throbbed. Fairchild's medical skills were as unpredictable as his temper.

Fairchild shot a hostile glare at Easton. "Liar!"

Easton rubbed his nose, feeling guilty. The eccentric old man was difficult to manage. Fairchild had refused to come, insisting on staying home to watch cricket fighting. Easton had resorted to bribing him with candy.

Just then, Ava entered the room. Seeing the situation, she dismissed the other doctors.

Now, only Janina, Fairchild, Easton, and Ava remained.

"Fairchild," Janina said, taking a deep breath to calm herself. "Save her first. As soon as you're done, I'll take you to get something amazing to eat. You can have whatever you want, as much as you want."

"Really?" Fairchild's eyes instantly lit up like a child promised a treat. He scurried over to Summer's bedside.

Ava found the man very odd. She leaned close to Janina and whispered, "Who is he?"

Janina replied, "A miracle worker."

Ava frowned. What an old-fashioned term. In this day and age, who still called someone a miracle worker?

"He's not a liar, is he?"

Janina let out a long sigh and shot Ava a look, signaling her to stay quiet for now.

Fairchild might be odd, but his medical skills were unmatched. Right now, he was the only one who could save Summer.

"It's fine, she won't die. Huh! How did her body get like this? This is no ordinary injury!" Fairchild tilted his head, his finger gently tapping Summer's pale cheek.

His fingers moved over Summer's body, sometimes pressing lightly, sometimes firmly.

Suddenly, his expression grew serious, and then he let out a cold chuckle. "My, my, it has invaded her vital organs..."

Ava was stunned. Fairchild sounded almost pleased by this.

"Ah! This external wound is fresh? Who could be so cruel, so violent to someone already on death's door..."

"Tsk, tsk. If it were me, I wouldn't want to live. All that pain, all the time. Better to just die."
