Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 128

Vincent screamed her name from behind, his voice filled with despair and rage.

"Summer! You stop right there! You think you'll be better off after a divorce? Without me, you can't even afford your medical bills! You ungrateful-!"

Summer didn't break her stride.

Vincent trembled, his bloodshot eyes practically shooting fire. The stress was too much, and he fainted.

Summer had already hired a lawyer. She was going to sue them both and make sure the despicable pair rotted in jail.

As she pushed open the doors of the police station, she took a deep breath, feeling the fresh air fill her lungs for what felt like the first time in ages.

Janina's car was parked by the curb. When she saw Summer emerge, she ran to meet her. "How did it go? Did he sign?"

Summer shook her head but offered a relieved smile. "It's fine. My lawyer will handle it. He'll sign within three days, I guarantee it. From this day forward, he and I have nothing to do with each other."

Unexpectedly, Vincent signed the divorce papers the very next day.

A few days later, with the evidence irrefutable, the sentences were handed down. Vincent, while not directly involved in the crimes, was found guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice. He was sentenced to five years.

Iris received a life sentence. Her crimes went beyond attempted murder to include involvement in prostitution, gambling, and drugs.

With everything finally settled, Summer received her rightful share of their assets.

Given that she needed ongoing medical treatment, Janina took her home.

The small house now felt even more crowded with one more person.

Janina decided it was time to move. A real estate agent had already shown her a few promising properties, and there was one she particularly liked. Things had just been too hectic to meet with the owner.

The next day, the other three from 'The Graces' Chat' went with Janina to see the house.

About half an hour earlier, Melody had sent a voice message to their group chat.

"I'm bringing my boyfriend today so you guys can check him out. If he passes your inspection, I'll introduce him to my parents."

Of course, Melody was mostly joking. She didn't actually need her friends' approval to date someone.

She just wanted to take the opportunity for everyone to meet him. She hadn't planned on it, but she was always busy filming and rarely had time to see him. Today they were on a date, but she didn't want to miss the get-together, so she decided to bring him along.

They arrived holding hands. Melody introduced him, "This is my boyfriend, Yates Gisborne."

Everyone could see the undisguised affection for Melody in Yates's eyes.

After introductions, they all sat down.

Janina glanced over and noticed Wendy frowning, her eyes fixed on Yates with a look of confusion and scrutiny.
