Maggie gave Melody an exaggerated hug.
Melody did look particularly radiant today. Her makeup and clothes were as flawless as a celebrity on television.
She laughed and hugged Maggie back. "I hear so much fake flattery on set every day. It's refreshing to hear some honest praise from you, Maggie."
After only landing roles as maids or corpses in long-form dramas, Melody was surprised to find that she had become a sensation in the world of short dramas.
She then turned to Janina, her eyes lighting up instantly.
"Nina! Oh my goodness, your belly has gotten even bigger!"
She gently hugged Janina, then knelt down and pressed her ear against Janina's round stomach.
Melody looked up in amazement. "They're moving! They're so active! Hi, babies! Do you want your godmother to perform a little show for you?"
Janina suspected the two little ones were having a brawl in her womb. They were active during the day, active at night, and sometimes they would even wake her up with their movements.
She had a feeling they were both boys.
But she so desperately wanted a boy and a girl.
Janina couldn't help but laugh. She patted Melody's back. "Alright, alright. You'll have plenty of opportunities to perform for them once they're out. For now, why don't you show us around the postpartum care center?"
A staff member led the three of them on a tour of the facility's various areas: the VIP suites, the professional postpartum recovery center, and the early education classrooms for newborns.
Each recovery room was equipped with top-of-the-line facilities and had a beautiful view of the garden outside.
After the tour, Melody turned to Janina. "So, what do you think? They're all certified Master Postnatal Care Specialists. I heard a lot of celebrities choose to stay here after giving birth."
Melody threw an arm around her shoulder. "Enough with the mushy stuff! Come on, I'm starving. Let's go get something to eat!"
With the postpartum center settled, Maggie took them to a newly opened private kitchen.
As they got out of the car, Maggie explained, "It's a bit out of the way, but it's very private. After all, our Melody is the queen of short dramas now. We can't have her getting mobbed by fans."
Melody helped Janina out of the car and rolled her eyes at Maggie's comment. "Oh, please. I'm no queen. I just got lucky with a hit series."
Janina squeezed Melody's cheek. "Don't be so modest. I've been watching your new show every day. But seriously, the more famous you get, the harder it will be for us to see each other, won't it?"
"The day I win Best Actress, I'll buy four townhouses in a row, knock down all the walls, and then we can see each other whenever we want and be as loud as we want!" Melody said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
The wildly imaginative idea made all three of them burst out laughing.
