Janina and Wendy were laughing and chatting as they left the exam room.

As they rounded a corner in the hallway, they came face to face with a man and a woman.

The man, dressed in a dark gray sweatsuit, was leaning down and saying something to the woman beside him, who was giggling and leaning against his shoulder.

Because of Janina's very prominent pregnant belly, the man spotted her immediately.

Janina's steps faltered, and she cursed under her breath, "What rotten luck."

She hadn't expected to run into Julius.

Julius saw her and practically jogged over.

He glanced at her pregnant belly, his eyes lighting up, an irrepressible smile spreading across his face.

"Janina, are you here for a check-up? Is the baby okay?"

Seeing Julius, Wendy immediately became defensive. She stepped in front of Janina and shot back scornfully, "Mr. Ex-husband, since you're divorced, stop harassing Nina."

Her lips curled into a sneer, but her eyes were as cold as ice.

Julius finally noticed Wendy, and his brow furrowed almost imperceptibly.

But he ignored her.

He hadn't seen Janina since the design competition.

He had wanted to see her, but the thought that she had burned Yvonne had made him feel like she was unforgivable.

"Julius!" A sweet, delicate voice called out. Janina didn't need to turn around to know it was Yvonne.

She had no desire to get entangled with these two. She tugged on Wendy's arm. "Let's go."

Being heavily pregnant, Janina walked much slower than before. Within a few steps, Julius once again blocked her path.

Yvonne caught up to them, a gentle smile on her face, as if she hadn't been the one burned two months ago.

She looked at Janina, feigning a magnanimous and gentle demeanor. "Miss Holt, what a coincidence. Are you here for a check-up?"

Janina ignored Yvonne and snarled at Julius, who was still in her way. "Get out of my way!"
