Abandoned While Pregnant, Claimed by the Alpha novel Chapter 182

Chapter 182

+15 Bond

I sat behind the big oak desk in my study, signing my name across the parchment with that pure-gold pen, feeling way happier than a grown Alpha should while handling official affairs. Honestly, I had never been this desperate to finish work since the day I took over as an Alpha.

I just wanted to wrap things up and go find Ashley.

Everything needed to be dealt with fast. I’d already booked the top floor of that Michelin three star sky restaurant downtown. Their French lamb chops would definitely help replenish the energy she always lacked, and the 1982 Lafite I secured…. yeah, that would make those two hours together feel dreamy as hell.

Then a loud bang shook the room as the heavy study door slammed open.

I looked up, instantly annoyed.

“Hebert! We have a problem!” Marcus rushed in, panting. “The supply warehouse behind the manor suddenly caught fire! The flames are out of control, all the exits are blocked!”

I frowned, impatient, not taking it seriously at all. “Then send the guard team to handle it. You really need me to babysit every little accident, Marcus?”

“Ashley, Luna Ashley, is inside!” Marcus practically shouted. “She’s trapped with more than ten Omegas! Our people already started rescue, but since this involves Luna Ashley, you needed to know.”

“What?!” I roared.

I didn’t think-just shot up from the chair and ran for the door.

“Alpha!” Marcus lunged forward, grabbing both my arms with a grip so tight his knuckles went sickly white. “The tire is too intense, you-

“If you get close to those flames, your wolf will lose control!”

His words hit me like a blade pressed straight to my weakest spot.

Yeah. I remembered that awful feeling all too well. Fire was the curse carved into me as a top Alpha. Once those scorching flames touched my skin, the wolf inside me would snap awake, vicious and wild, ripping away every piece of my sanity until I turned into something that only knew how to destroy.

And I was terrified I’d hurt her.

My fists clenched so hard my nails broke skin, sharp pain cutting through my palm, the smell of blood thick in the air. 1 myself to stop, every second of restraint like ants with knives chewing through my bones

Just when I was trying trying to believe the guards could handle it, a soot covered guard stumbled into the study, coughing and shaking.

“Alpha!” he cried, collapsing to his knees. “The fire’s too strong! There were huge amounts of chemical coatings stared inside it’s completely out of control! The iron door’s been heated so badly it warped, we can’t break the spot in about in collag

“Damn it!” I roared, fusy blasting through me, snapping the last thread holding my sanity togelber
