Her parents had not permitted her to leave for the event and now she had to fend for herself. For someone like Ariana who has never worked a day in her life and eats a lot, she couldn’t find herself a job and could still finish all the ducks on the grill and still not be satisfied.

"It’s been so long Penny. What are you doing here? Don’t tell me you also want to be a part of Miss Pen’s apprenticeship program." Ari asked them gasping as if realizing something.

"Did you ut in for it?" She asked clicking her tongue.

"I really love your confidence Penelope, you’re an illiterate still trying to compete with brains." Ari blabbed.

"And you’re so smart, that’s why you failed your final exams." Penny smiled. She had seen Ariana’s result because her team had shown her when she asked.

Ariana clenched her hands into a fist glaring at Penny. "So let’s get this straight." Penny smiled.

"You’re... One, fat, dumb, and ugly." Penny smiled. "Just this once I didn’t help with your project you failed wolfly. An illiterate really beat you." Ari’s face turned red in embarrassment. Penny had let her step on her for years, not because she didn’t know what to say or do, but because she loved them all.

But that love died in Owlsgrave. In this city, she was merciless. She turned to leave after rendering Ariana speechless and Ari’s eyes turned wide.

"You’re pregnant Penelope?" Penny paused at her words.

"Penelope, are you pregnant?" Ariana asked again, louder this time. She cleaned her eyes multiple times to be sure she was not dreaming.

When Penny didn’t turn to look at her, Ariana walked over and turned her around.

"So I’m right. You’re pregnant. Is that why you’re here?" Chris who was behind Ari couldn’t believe his eyes. Penny was indeed pregnant. The baby bump proved it all.

So many things have happened today that have gotten him so confused. Was Penny also a part of the movie world in this place? Was he dreaming?

Was his Penelope pregnant with the madman?

But what is she doing in this city? Shouldn’t she be at the Penthouse getting more than enough care from the maids? Or was she hiding something?

"So you were indeed getting fucked by the madman?" Ariana said bluntly. "Or... Did you plan with the Adkins lawyers to fuck someone else and pin it on the madman?" Ariana’s words were more words than questions.

"Rip her eyes out!"

"Beat her till the baby’s gone. After all, it isn’t meant to exist in the first place."

"Destroy her face so that no man goes after that. If she thinks she’s beautiful, then we’ll take it away." Another woman shouted.

"That we shall do." Ariana raised her hands to be the first to strike, but a larger hand grabbed her before she could reach Penny.

No one is allowed to hurt his Penguin except him. No one can hurt her except him, and even if he does hurt her, he always punishes himself after that.

"You cannot raise your hands on my boss."

"What the hell are you?" Ariana yelled with wide eyes.

"A demon you don’t want to play with Ariana," Osvaldo said with a scary voice. The one he always used in her hallucinations. The one that scares her to death.

Ariana immediately turned paralyzed. She knows that voice. I was her nightmare. She quickly fell on her knees.

"I’m so sorry Penny, I didn’t mean to hurt you. I only wanted money from you, please forgive me." Ariana was scared to death. She had been glad the nightmares and hallucinations stopped. She didn’t want it back anymore.

"So you lied?" One of the women asked.

"I did. Penny’s not a liar, she’s not a whore, she’s my sister. My sister I’m jealous of." Ariana confessed to taking all of the blame. Maybe if she takes the blame, this scary madman that always hunts her will leave her alone.

"Beat me instead of everyone. I’m the evil person who’s jealous of my sister. I’m sorry Penny." Ariana cried out.

"What a weirdo, setting her own sister up for jealousy. She should be flogged at the town square for such an abomination." A woman suggested.

"Yes, such an act can never go unpunished. She almost made us hurt an innocent pregnant woman. Thank God her husband intervened." Penny froze at their words.

"We’re so sorry Miss. Not to worry, we’ll make sure this woman gets her reward for beating you." A woman amongst them said.

Hughes sighed in relief at the turn of events. For the first time since his arrival, she was glad they had found a bodyguard. How would she have fought Ariana today if they had no guard?

Osvaldo led his Penguin back into the car and they watched the women drag Ariana and Chris away. Penny could only imagine what they would do to her. She didn’t care anyway.
