Accidentally Pregnant By My Alpha Best friends (Madeline) novel Chapter 563

Graham:

I felt my throat shut down.

I looked around and noticed the alphas’ scrunched eyebrows.

They were all wondering what she was talking about and what kind of proof she had to paint me wrong.

Honestly, I was shaking too.

There was no way she could prove anything.

There would be no proof.

At this point, I was annoyed that there were so many people.

When I first arrived, I was happy there was an audience, but now, not really.

"What proof do you have?" Lady Abigail asked, not taunting her or showing anger in her tone.

Her entire demeanor had suddenly changed.

Everybody was watching us with suspicion.

"Well, if I present you the proof, would it make any difference? Would you be able to call Graham a liar? Because he very openly claimed that he was blackmailed into taking the cases back," Madeline questioned, her arms folded over her chest.

I just did not understand what had gotten over me that I had picked Kaylee over her.

If only I had married her that day instead of Baxter, my life would have been so different now.

All the embarrassment and the back and forth would not exist.

In fact, I would have been known as the husband of a woman who was not only intelligent but very creative too.

And the way she was standing before everyone now, after everything she had been through, without letting her posture deteriorate, proved that she was the best of the best.

"Of course, it will be the same way that Graham was trying to say about Yuvonne earlier. If there is proof, the other person who claims something else will be called a liar and definitely suitable for punishment, of course," Lord William spoke up.

He had always admired Madeline. And who would not?

She looked like a daughter anyone would love. But my situation was different.

I was panicking now more than ever.

"What did you do? Is there really proof?" Elgin asked, turning to me.

At this point, I could tell he was regretting coming here.

Now both of us were in the same boat.

"I don't know. There should be no video," I replied, trying to recall the day I took the case back.

I did not remember making any mistake.

Madeline walked over to the big screen, and my eyes widened.

She was not going to use the phone screen.

Kaylee silently watched everything, and I was glad she did not speak up, or I would take my anger out on her.

"It does appear that you are the one convincing her that you will take the cases back and that she should relax. It does not seem like she has the power or that she is blackmailing you. She looks scared of you," Lady Abigail spoke up, pointing at the screen.

My eyes were still glued to the screen, and I was unable to explain it or come up with a lie.

It was pretty evident.

She was scared, and I was the one controlling her at that moment.

"Are you two going to say something, or are you just going to stand there like robots?" Lord William snapped.

I looked away from the screen. Elgin grunted and started to step back.

"Dude, what the heck have you been up to?" Elgin hissed at me quietly, but the agitation in his body was obvious.

He was regretting coming here. And I knew he did not come here for me.

He wanted to look like a hero in front of Madeline and show that he was the one who held the truth.

"So many lies," Lady Abigail hissed.

"And then because I defend you two, I am the one who gets on my knees and apologizes," she added, throwing the pen on the table. It bounced off and fell onto the floor.

"Well, this time I think we need to take a strict step so that these two stop and leave these women alone," Lord William yelled, causing my spine to stiffen.

This backfired on me badly.
