Accidentally Pregnant By My Alpha Best friends (Madeline) novel Chapter 650

Madeline:

That was when panic struck me.

Elgin being gone was not going to end well.

My eyes shifted toward the cabin, and that was when I saw him.

He had reached the door.

That fucking coward had slipped away from the fight and broken the cabin door down.

Fear for my children's safety tore through me.

I howled as loudly as I could, the sound shaking the ground beneath me, then sprinted toward the cabin.

Before I could reach it, several massive wolves slammed into me from the side.

The other alphas.

Unlike the warriors, these alphas were strong enough to slow me down.

With all of them charging at me together, they managed to force me back a step.

One bit into my side while another slammed into my back, forcing me into the dirt.

I realized Lena was far stronger when she focused on fighting.

The moment she got distracted, everything fell apart.

I twisted violently and raked my claws across one alpha's face before another lunged for my throat.

There were too many of them, and all I could think about were my children inside.

And I could feel Lena thinking the same thing.

She cared about our children.

My eyes never left the shattered doorway.

More warriors were rushing toward it now, pushing inside, probably surrounding my children.

Panic tore through me again.

I let out another howl, louder this time, loud enough for Ron and Byron to understand exactly what I meant.

‘The cabin.’

‘Protect the children.’

I saw both of them break away from the fight immediately and charge toward the cabin through the chaos.

Then suddenly, a strange sound filled the air.

The flapping of wings.

And everyone froze as if life had been drained out of them.

The ground fell silent so quickly that it felt unnatural.

Even the wolves stopped growling.

Slowly, almost fearfully, every head tilted upward.

Something massive moved across the sky.

Then I heard Lady Abigail scream.

"It's the winged monster!"

The terror in her voice made it clear how deeply they feared it.

This monster had brought chaos before, and now it had returned to find many preys scattered across an open field, ready to be devoured.

Before I could fully process what was happening, pain tore through my body again as my wolf began shifting back into human form.

“No, no, no, no, no!”

I protested, shaking my head at Lena.

But I had already collapsed to my knees, gasping for air.

But when I looked at it, all I could think about was Baxter.

"You killed him!" I yelled as the wind whipped my hair across my face.

Behind the beak, two eyes stared directly at me.

Sand swirled through the air, forcing them to narrow slightly.

It looked like a monster, but I could not believe that was all it was.

There had to be something human behind it.

It was not just some eagle-like beast.

There were traces of humanity in it.

"Madeline, get out of his way!"

I heard Byron's voice shout from somewhere behind me.

I did not turn around, but I could tell the warriors were still fighting them, trying to stop them from escaping, as if any of them actually could.

Their goal was to keep everyone trapped there so the monster could kill them.

At the same time, they were trying to save themselves.

"You killed my husband," I whimpered.

I did not truly mean it.

Whoever had taken Baxter out of that coffin had already killed him.

He never would have survived.

But they had not even given me the decency of telling me.

They had done it all in silence.

And suddenly, I wondered if they had killed Yuvonne too.
