Accidentally Pregnant By My Alpha Best friends (Madeline) novel Chapter 691

Byron:

Every time the darkness closed in, I would lose consciousness again.

Then the burning would begin all over.

After that, all I could do was sleep, but even in my sleep, nightmares haunted me.

They were nightmares that were terrifying, but also painfully cruel.

In those nightmares, I would see Madeline, but I could never reach her.

Fire burned all around me. Strange cracks spread across my body and the ground beneath my feet, just like the ones on my neck. Lava continuously filled those cracks, making my body heat up even more.

I was going through a kind of agony I had never experienced before.

The heat was unbearable, as if my skin would burn right off my body.

There were moments when I wanted someone, anyone, to just end my life because my skin felt like it was constantly on fire.

Even my wolf couldn't help me anymore.

After that, I had no idea where I was or what I was doing.

Then, one night, the pain suddenly started to lessen.

I didn't understand what was happening. All I knew was that maybe my Madeline had found some kind of remedy.

That was when I felt something soft and wet against my neck.

slender fingers were holding onto my shoulders. Fragile fingers kept me in place, and for the first time in so long, I found myself waking up.

And by waking up, I mean truly waking up.

I felt someone's tongue licking the wound on the back of my neck. Her scent seemed familiar, just a little at first. The more aware I became, the more I realized who it was.

“Madeline.”

I whispered her name.

I barely even mouthed it before her hand slipped from my shoulders and down onto my chest, holding me tightly.

Her tongue moved down my neck and then back up again.

She kept licking the wound while I placed my hand over hers, holding onto it.

I didn't understand what had happened, but maybe, just maybe, during all of this, she had developed some feelings for me.

Otherwise, why would she be so close to me?

Once she was done tending to my neck and the wound on my back, it felt as though she had licked the pain away.

I was no longer burning.

At least, not for now.

The relief was nonstop, and it was the best feeling I had experienced in a very long time.

Once she was done, she slowly walked to the front of the room.

As I looked around, I noticed this wasn't a cabin room.

It was a well-furnished space with a few paintings and beautiful pieces of art decorating the walls.
