“Wake up, little monster, you have a visitor,” a voice came from the other side of the door, waking me up.

It had been a whole day since they left me here.

I had gone through all sorts of emotions within the first half hour.

I kicked the door, screamed, cried, and even threatened to hurt myself.

Well, that was when they decided to do something about me.

They came in and gave me sedatives.

I was now waking up to a whole new day and a pounding on the door.

"What?" I asked wearily.

"You have a visitor," she repeated.

I felt like there was no life left in my body until I heard that.

Everything changed.

I felt as if I had come alive once again.

I immediately got to my feet and tried to reach the door, but one of my ankles had a chain around it.

"Oops, sorry. Forgot you were tied up," the nurse remarked as her keys jingled.

That was when I met her for the first time.

Her red lipstick and matching heels stood out against her white uniform, and the smirk on her lips was already scary enough.

But the way she chewed her gum so obnoxiously took the cake.

"Now come on. Let's take you to the meeting room," she murmured as she unchained me.

I assumed it was my mother who had come to see me.

I would tell her everything they had put me through.

Their behavior and hatred toward me because I was a werewolf who would get a wolf at twelve.

She walked me through the hallways, leading me to a room at the top of the building.

It was an empty room with nothing but windows that overlooked the mountains outside.

There was a table, two chairs, and that was it.

I looked around in confusion, wondering where the visitor was.

"Where is my mother?" I asked, turning to Orchid.

She smiled at me before slapping her forehead.

"Did I say you had a visitor?" she remarked.

There was mockery in her tone and amusement on her face as she watched tears start to gather in my eyes.

"Oops. What I meant was, you had a call from the werewolf land."

Her smile faded as she gestured for me to sit down.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed.

However, it still meant I had a way to contact someone.

I hurriedly sat down and grabbed the phone.

I tried to fight them, but it was no use.

Then one of them cupped my face in his bony hand and shoved a pill into my mouth.

He forcefully clamped my jaw shut and shook my head so violently that it felt like my brain had been scrambled like an egg.

I wasn't even able to walk on my own.

They dragged my little body by both arms, one man on each side.

All I could feel was my skin scraping against the floor.

I could hear people laughing at me.

Some patients even mocked me, while others asked the nurses what had happened to me.

Some were shooed away.

I saw it all through my blurred vision.

Then they threw me back into the room.

My body slumped onto the mattress while they fastened the chains around my ankle.

The minute the door shut, I let out a whimper.

Then I heard a knock from the other side of the wall.

"Are you okay?" a boy's voice called.

He sounded about my age.

I tried to force myself up because it was a miracle to have someone talk to me, let alone someone my own age.

"Hi, I'm Sawyer. What's your name?" the boy asked from the other side.
