Accidentally Pregnant By My Alpha Best friends (Madeline) novel Chapter 714

Ron:

I had come home after everything happened.

I had to be there so that when Madeline asked about Nala, I could tell her where she had gone.

Early that morning, everyone was getting ready for the big day. We had to arrive at the royal gardens for the event.

Once again, a woman was about to be humiliated while the biggest scum on earth was going to play the victim.

I mean, Silver was not innocent, and neither was Elgin.

Yet only a woman was being crucified.

Everyone was getting ready because they had to be there to watch the spectacle.

I had heard Elgin had asked the council members to prepare a grand feast so that, after the rejection and humiliation, everyone could celebrate as if it were the best day of their lives.

The moment Madeline woke up, she asked where Nala was.

"I don't know. I saw her early this morning. She said she had to go meet Rosetta."

I lied.

The lie hadn't come to me on the spot. I had planned it.

When I took Nala to the cabin, I had her phone with me.

I saw Rosetta calling her nonstop. Then a text notification appeared.

I only read part of it, but it said Byron was doing fine. That was enough for me to know everything was okay there.

"Really? Why? Is everything okay?" Madeline immediately grew concerned about Byron.

Why else would Rosetta be calling Nala so early in the morning? And why would Nala leave without telling anyone?

"Yeah, she said Rosetta told her Byron was okay or something like that," I replied, giving just enough information to put Madeline at ease.

I also had to convince her warriors that Nala hadn't taken them with her because she wanted them to stay behind and help Madeline prepare.

It was difficult.

Any more delay, and they would start calling Nala or go looking for her. I knew that much.

"Well, I'll go get ready. We have a huge day ahead," Madeline murmured sadly before walking away.

I knew it would be a huge day for justice, but at the same time, it wasn't going to be easy for us to face everyone.

As soon as Madeline left, I went into the kitchen and poured myself a cup of coffee.

I tried to decide whether I should go and get the herb right away or wait until after the event. But by then, it would be too late.

Everyone would still be looking for Nala.

So I made my decision.

"Because she truly loves me. Even though we don't share a child anymore, I'm the one she's choosing. That should tell you something about our love," he remarked, snatching the cup of coffee out of my hand before walking away.

I stood there, stunned and furious.

That was it.

I was going to get the herb.

I was going to give that herb to Lady Eugenia.

And if I didn't find her, I'd fucking feed it to Graham instead.

‘That would be the better option,’ my wolf snapped.

I groaned inwardly.

‘Graham would still protect Madeline because, in his own twisted way, he loved her. But aren't you afraid he'll want to keep her trapped? Do unholy things to her?’ my wolf asked.

My grip on the cup tightened.

"Then Lady Eugenia it is," I hissed, setting the cup down before walking out of the cabin.

I was going to get the herb.

There was no other way.
