Today felt different. The feeling itself was strange.

I had woken up thinking everything would make me happy again, but I didn't know anymore.

I sighed as I walked ahead and stopped in front of the enormous royal grounds.

Nala was drinking too, but I noticed her quickly grab something from the table and hide it underneath.

For a moment, I wondered if they were doing drugs together.

"Okay, since when did you two become so friendly?" I commented, stopping across the table from them with my hands on my waist.

"Me and her? Never," Ron replied, pointing at Nala.

She rolled her eyes.

"As if I'm dying to be friends with him."

Watching the two of them bicker honestly made me feel like the world was normal again.

At least my world.

Because mine was the only one that had been turned upside down.

"But you should ask her if she and Mathew fucked."

The words slipped out of Ron's mouth, and Nala's eyes widened.

She shot to her feet, leaned over him, and snatched the bottle out of his hand.

"That's enough alcohol for today," she grunted, avoiding my eyes.
