Ron:
Being reunited with Yuvonne brought me the kind of happiness I thought I would never experience.
For the next few hours, we just kept hugging and kissing each other.
Finally, we had to move upstairs because I remembered Lady Eugenia was still poking around.
"Okay, should I intervene now?" I heard Byron's voice.
It seemed I'd been so lost in the moment that I'd completely forgotten about everyone else around me.
I finally pulled away from Yuvonne and looked at Byron, giving him a smile.
"Wow, you look well," I remarked.
He tilted his head and gave me a knowing look.
"Did you know about it?" I asked, pointing at Yuvonne.
"Actually, I found out in the middle of everything. I was shocked too, but I couldn't be with her because, you know, I was afraid she might forget about you."
Just as I'd expected from Byron, he opened his mouth and started talking rubbish.
“Ah, you weren't so flirtatious and cocky when you were almost dying,” I commented.
This time, though, I wasn't annoyed. I was just teasing him, playing along.
That grumpy man was completely gone.
"Okay, guys, we need to leave. Remember, Madeline is still out there, and she's very angry," Nala cut in, reminding us that we still had a lot to take care of.
"And we have to arrest Lady Eugenia. She's probably running around on the second or third floor," I added, my face tightening as I watched Byron frown.
It seemed he didn't know who else was in the mansion besides Yuvonne.
"Come on, let's go. I'll fill you in on everything later," Nala told Byron as we all headed to the ground floor.
When we got there, Rosetta had already come inside.
This time, I looked behind her and realized everyone was leaving.
Her warriors were clearing the ground floor.
The whole show was over.
The minute Rosetta looked up, it was as if she realized she couldn't hide from us anymore.
"So you were hiding that woman with you, weren't you?" I demanded, taking a step forward.
However, Yuvonne grabbed my hand, but before she could pull me back, Byron rushed over and stood in front of her.
"Wait, Ron," he urged, looking at me. "Let her explain first."
It was like he was defending her without a second thought.
I turned to Yuvonne, then to Nala.
Knowing Byron, the only woman he would ever defend was Madeline.
But Rosetta?
