Accidentally Pregnant By My Alpha Best friends (Madeline) novel Chapter 833

Kaylee:

After a little while, I came to understand that the monster had transported Baxter off the mountain top and into the human world, where he not only survived but also lost his memories.

When he woke up, he somehow gathered he was in love with me.

I still didn’t understand how everything had gotten so twisted.

All I knew was that his memories were completely fucked up, and he believed that we had run away together.

It probably didn’t help that when he first appeared in the basement, I had mistaken the situation too and said things that made it sound like we had escaped together, that I had run away with him, gotten pregnant, and then lost the child.

So somewhere along the way, Baxter came to believe that he had run away with me, that I had been pregnant with his child, and that we had lost everything together.

After a while, something else hit me.

The Moon Goddess had redeemed herself by giving me the best Alpha I could have ever asked for.

Even though I knew Baxter’s wolf was no longer alive, it didn’t matter to me anymore.

Wolf or no wolf, Baxter was still better than any Alpha I had ever known.

Alpha Graham, Alpha Elgin, any of them.

Baxter was the best choice.

It was funny, and I really wanted to laugh in Madeline’s face.

She had kept me here in the basement thinking she was punishing me, little did she know that all the happiness she felt after seeing her husband alive was about to be stolen from her.

Because the woman she had locked away as punishment was now going to steal her husband.

And to be honest, even I was shocked when I found out Baxter was the new president.

So that made me the president’s new interest now.

“Are you okay?” Baxter asked, concern written all over his face.

The way he sat on the bed, his muscles straining beneath his clothes, made my heart beat faster.

I had never been this close to him before, and he was incredibly good-looking.

“I guess I am,” I uttered softly.

If he believed I was the woman he loved, why would I correct him?

I was pretty sure Madeline wouldn’t, either.

Knowing Baxter, he was stern and stubborn, and unlike Graham and Elgin, he never turned away from his responsibilities.

“It’s just— sitting here with you after the way you left me is hard,” I said, placing a hand over my chest and watching his expression soften.

“But I’m here to fix everything,” he replied.
