Accidentally Pregnant By My Alpha Best friends (Madeline) novel Chapter 900

Byron:

"You think dying is how you're going to prove your love to me? So you prove that you love me, die, and then leave me to live with the guilt? Tell me, how am I supposed to live without you?"

She screamed as she hit my chest, then grabbed my collar and shook me repeatedly.

Her phone suddenly began to ring.

Rosetta glanced at the screen before turning her attention back to me.

It was Ron.

"You have to answer that. It might be urgent," I urged.

She pulled away from me.

"Go. Go help them because you fucking ruined everything for me."

Her breathing became uneven.

"I've taken love away from me so many times. I had to live without friends and famiy, but I didn't know. I never thought you'd become one of them too. I never imagined you would make me lose the person I love."

She was beginning to spiral, making me rush toward her.

"This isn't how I thought things would end. Listen to me. I know I'm not going to die," I said, grabbing her arm and pulling her closer.

Rosetta narrowed her eyes at me as though silently asking whether I'd completely lost my mind.

"Every man I've marked has died," she reminded me.

"That's not true. They survived for six months."

It was a lie.

I knew exactly what had happened to them.

She would marry them first, and they would delay the marking for as long as possible. The moment Rosetta finally marked them, they died.

She had always picked criminal Alphas so their deaths never bothered her.

"You liar. You're a fucking liar!" she screamed, striking me again and again.

"But at least now you know I love you. And you know I don't love you because you remind me of someone else." I reached for her face. "Trust me. I have this feeling I'm going to survive because what we have is true love."

I tried to cup her cheeks, but she stared at me and slowly shook her head.

"Byron, you just decided this was right for me?"

Her words froze me.

"Because if you think you're going to die and leave me behind, you're fucking wrong. I'll die before you do. I will never live a single minute knowing you died because of me!"

She shoved me away and rushed toward her closet.

I immediately knew what she was doing.

There was no sound of war behind him. No chaos. Nothing.

"Wait, what?" I asked.

Even Rosetta stopped struggling.

We both froze, our heads turning toward the phone while my arms remained wrapped tightly around her.

"Yeah! Killing the monster changed everything. Every single curse is gone. Even all the humans have transitioned, so imagine what that means for Rosetta. You need to check whether her curse has been lifted. Take her to the boundary and see if she can cross it."

Ron kept talking without pause.

Against my chest, I could feel Rosetta's heartbeat quicken.

Rosetta immediately turned around and grabbed my hand.

"Let's go. Let's test it. Because if it doesn't work, then..." She paused, hiccuping. "Then we'll go to the well, get the herbs, and put the curse back on the monster. After that, we'll find some other way to save you. You wouldn't die that way, right?"

She was panicking as she spoke.

I picked up my phone, ended the call, and took her hand before leading her outside.

If I didn't take her to the border right now, she was going to lose her mind.

"Byron, listen to me, please. We should go to the well first. Let's get those herbs too," she insisted as I hurried her along.
