Adopted to Biological? Keep Your Golden Child Scapegoat Out novel Chapter 33

Chapter 4

My mom walked over. Untied the ropes. Looked at me with so much concern.

David’s whole family went pale. They just stood there. Frozen.

Then he stumbled forward in disbelief. Pinched my son’s cheek, hard.

“How are you here? Why aren’t you dead?!”

My son’s face scrunched up. He wailed.

My dad kicked David to the ground.

“You bastard! Dare to touch my grandson?!”

David sat on the ground. Dazed. Shaking his head. “That’s impossible. I saw it. The blanket-it was Cody’s…”

Suddenly, his eyes went wide. He lunged at me. “Tessa! You knew it wasn’t Cody, didn’t you?! Why didn’t you say anything?!”

I clenched my fist. Punched him in the face. “So what if it wasn’t Cody? It was still a life!”

He clutched his eye. Panic spread across his face.

“If it wasn’t Cody… then who… who was it…”

His gaze snapped to Jenna. “Where is Ashton?!!”

She shook her head frantically. “Your brother took him out for a walk!”

“No… NO! It can’t be Ashton!”

Even as she said it, her hands were shaking.

She fumbled for her phone. Dropped it.

I smirked. “When you threw that baby in the septic tank, you didn’t bother checking who it was, did you?”

The whole family went silent.

The baby’s face was mangled beyond recognition. None of them dared look closely.

They saw my son’s blanket and just assumed it was him.

David rushed to steady Jenna. Then turned on me:

“How can you say that to her right now?!!”

Chapter 4

“I regret marrying you. You’ve done nothing but tear this family apart!”

I stepped over and slapped him:

“You’re the one to talk? You care so much about your sister-in-law-why don’t you marry her instead?”

His hand trembled. He bit out:

“You crazy witch! Go pull the baby out and see who it is!!”

Jenna sobbed. “It’s not my son, right? He’s not even three months old yet!”

I remembered my past life. My son was that small when he died too.

Before the officers could pull the body out, my brother-in-law came stumbling back. Reeking of alcohol.

Jenna threw herself at him. Crying. “Where’s my son? Where is he?!”

He shoved her off. Annoyed.

“What the hell?? Get away from me!”

“Of course he’s inside!”

“I just went out for a drink. Why the hell did you call the cops?”

Jenna’s legs gave out. She collapsed.

It WAS her son.

She’d thrown her own baby into the septic tank.

Sienna got it too.

She stood behind Monica. Trembling. Too scared to say a word.

Crying. Screaming. Sirens. All of it blurred together.

Until the officers carefully pulled the baby out of the septic tank.

Everyone instantly went silent.

The small form was covered in filth.

From the fall, his little head had caved in.

They peeled back the blanket. Revealed a lifeless face.

Jenna let out a strangled scream. Fainted.

Chapter 4

Sienna collapsed in front of her brother’s body. Sobbing uncontrollably:

“How is it Ashton?! I threw Cody! Not him!”

My heart sank.

I shook my head in disbelief.

“Sienna, what did I ever do to you? Why did you want to kill my son?”

Honestly, I’d done everything for this girl.

When I married into this family, I treated Sienna like my own daughter.
