After All the Hurt, She Chose Herself novel Chapter 103

Flora was taken back to the police station.

When she saw Aria sitting there, she shot her a venomous look. "Aria, aren't you afraid of karma catching up to you?"

"Karma hasn't caught up to you yet, so why should I be afraid?"

"Charles will save me!"

The evidence was conclusive. Even if Charles could help Flora, could he really get her off scot-free?

After giving her statement and repeatedly stressing that she would never agree to a settlement, Aria got up and left.

She didn't go straight back to the Evernight family estate.

Instead, she returned to the research institute.

She had to throw herself into her work to escape Gideon's control.

Aria was stopped before she could even enter the institute.

It was Hazel, along with two elderly people.

Seeing Aria get out of a taxi, Hazel rushed over. "Aria, Aria, I was wrong about this. Can you please ask the director not to expel me? I worked so hard to get here from the countryside. If I have to go back now, it'll be the end of me!"

The two elderly people looked worn and wrinkled, but their voices were surprisingly strong. "So you're Aria?"

Their speech was thick with a regional accent.

"Hazel just used your idea. She didn't steal or rob anyone. How can you be so cruel as to ruin her future?"

"Aria, I really know I was wrong. Look, if you forgive me, I can tell you something about Flora and Charles!"

"What do you mean she didn't steal or rob?" Aria completely ignored Hazel's offer. "What's mine is mine. If she used it, she stole it."

"Besides, she harmed someone. Lilith's health has been severely damaged because of her incorrect medication. Does that mean nothing to you?"

"When you're doing research, you can't succeed every time. So what if it failed this time? She'll succeed next time! It was that Lilith girl who insisted on using the drug. What does that have to do with Hazel?"

"Mom! Dad! Stop talking!"
