After All the Hurt, She Chose Herself novel Chapter 25

“Flora, Charles—you shouldn't be here. Hospitals are no place for people planning a wedding.”

Lilith held Flora’s hand, looking up with her pale face. “Aren’t you two getting engaged? You must have a lot to prepare, right?”

“I’m not going anywhere.”

Flora sat down beside Lilith.

“I’m staying right here to take care of you!”

Charles hadn’t told Flora that Lilith had late-stage osteosarcoma. Flora’s health was also fragile, and he couldn’t let her ruin the progress she had worked so hard to make.

“Flora, I’ll take care of things here. You should go get some rest.”

Flora hadn’t rested for a moment since Lilith collapsed.

The two girls were very close.

Charles couldn’t help but sneer, remembering how Aria used to cry to him, claiming Lilith and Flora were bullying her.

It was because of those words that he had misunderstood Flora and Lilith for so long!

In reality, they were both kind-hearted girls.

“I’m staying here to take care of Lilith. I’m not going anywhere.”

Seeing how stubborn Flora was, Charles was about to try persuading her again.

“Charles, can you get me something to eat? I’m a little hungry now. Once you get back, you and Flora can go home together!”

It was rare for Lilith to have an appetite. She listed off a few dishes.

“Okay, I’ll be right back.”

Seeing Charles leave, Lilith let out a sigh of relief. “Where’s Gideon?”

“He went back. Said he had something important to do.”

Flora was a little unhappy at the mention of Gideon. “You’re in the hospital. What could possibly be more important than you?”

“Cord blood.”

Lilith’s expression was calm as she looked at Flora. “Flora, I’ll be honest with you. I have late-stage osteosarcoma. There are only two things that can save me.”

Flora’s eyes widened.

She listened as Lilith explained everything, her emotions slowly settling.
