After All the Hurt, She Chose Herself novel Chapter 251

Aria slept until the afternoon. When she woke up, she saw a text from Raphael sent ten minutes earlier, asking if she was awake. She quickly sent a reply.

Raphael responded instantly: [Alright, text me when you're ready, and I'll come pick you up.]

Living just one floor apart was incredibly convenient.

Aria washed her face and applied some light makeup.

She had rested well over the past few days, and as her health slowly recovered, a healthy glow returned to her face. She looked like a completely different person. Her luminous skin and bright eyes meant she no longer needed heavy lipstick to hide her exhaustion.

Aria sent Raphael a text, and less than a minute later, there was a knock at the door.

"That was fast."

"I figured you were almost done, so I came down early. Perfect timing."

Raphael reached out and took hold of her wheelchair.

"The internet has been dragging my name through the mud lately. Will that ruin their first impression of me?"

"No, we prefer to trust our own eyes," Raphael said, smoothly pushing her toward the car. "Besides, didn't you say your name had already been cleared?"

"I saw the police statement released online. Did you do that?"

Aria had opened social media and instantly saw the public statement Raphael was referring to.

She was the one who had requested it.

It was the right thing to do. Her reputation had been wrongfully dragged through the mud. Even though she wasn't actually a suspect anymore, Lilith Rowan's death had become a massive public spectacle. If it wasn't handled properly, public outrage was inevitable.

Since the Rowan family refused to release Lilith's autopsy results, the police could only issue a statement confirming that Aria had cooperated with the investigation and was officially cleared of any suspicion.

"You went there alone on purpose," Raphael remarked as he navigated the car out of the lot.

His tone was completely certain.

Aria blinked. "How did you know?"
