After All the Hurt, She Chose Herself novel Chapter 313

Aria delivered her instructions so smoothly and quickly that Henry didn't even have time to process what was happening before she stepped onto the elevator.

"Aria, what brings you here?"

When the staff in the secretarial pool saw Aria step out of the elevator, they all stood up in pleasant surprise.

When Aria worked there, she had never thrown her weight around or abused her power the way Henry did. Because Gideon hadn't favored Aria, their interactions with her had been strictly professional.

But after she left, the secretaries truly realized how great she had been.

Compared to Henry, seeing Aria back felt like a breath of fresh air.

They had been following the trending news over the past few days, so someone quickly asked, "Are you coming back to work with us?"

Aria shook her head, then nodded. "I'm just filling in for Gideon."

"Aria! You can't just fire me like this!"

Henry rushed out of the elevator and planted himself in front of her.

"I've been with this company for years. Even if I haven't achieved greatness, I've put in the hard work. You think you can fire me without severance over one contract oversight? Let me tell you, I won't accept this! I'm taking this to arbitration!"

"That's your prerogative," Aria replied, her expression calm.

"If you don't leave right now, I'll have security escort you out."

Regardless of his excuses, Henry had caused financial damage to the company and had tried to pin the blame on her after she had already resigned.

Evercrest was a company Aria had helped build from the ground up, and she wasn't about to let a parasite like Henry stick around.

"Ms. Rowan, I figured you'd be up here. This is the damage report you asked to be expedited. Please take a look."

Manager Simmons trotted over and handed a file to Aria.
