She put on some lipstick before going out.
Gideon was in the dining room eating breakfast. When he saw Aria, he said coldly, "Why did you move out last night?"
Aria couldn't be bothered to answer, picking up her bag to head to the institute.
Gideon's eyes darkened. "Come back tonight and make the special meal."
Aria's steps faltered.
Previously, she had to prepare the meal and serve it to him before he would take a few bites. Now that she had stopped, he was actively asking for it.
"I don't have time," Aria said without turning around. "If you want to eat it, have the maids make it for you."
Gideon's face soured.

Aria bought breakfast from a stall on the street.
She arrived at the research institute early, but someone was even earlier.
It was Raphael.
"Are you here to see the professor?"
Aria wasn't very familiar with Raphael, so she asked instinctively when she saw him standing outside the office.
"I was waiting for you."
Aria was confused.
Raphael opened the door to the office opposite Alden Reaves's and smiled at Aria. "Could we talk for a moment?"
Aria didn't want to go in, but she remembered how concerned Raphael had been the other day. After a moment's hesitation, she entered.
"What is it?"
"How are you feeling about the investment in the gene project?" Raphael pushed a contract toward her. "Would you consider partnering with the Evernight Group?"
Aria's answer was blunt. "No."
Raphael maintained his smiling demeanor. "I thought you might say that. That's why I suggest you look at this contract I have here."
Since it was a national project, Aria had no reason to hesitate. She carefully reviewed the contract one last time, and seeing no issues, she signed her name without a second thought.
A look of appreciation appeared in Raphael's eyes.
To remain so cautious and carefully review the contract in the face of such a tempting offer was impressive.
"However, even after I sign, Dawn won't be able to make an appearance anytime soon. Is that okay?"
"It's fine." Raphael collected the contract. "I'll handle explaining the situation with Dawn."
Aria nodded.
But she still felt a little uneasy. After all, Dawn was currently a person with no official identity. If a thorough investigation were launched, the fact that she was Dawn would eventually be exposed.
Raphael noticed the unease in her expression and said gently, "We're only in the initial stages. There are no core secrets involved, so there's no need to worry."
"Besides, I trust your judgment. I know you wouldn't pick the wrong person."
Aria was taken aback. She couldn't believe someone she had only met twice could trust her so much.
She replied, a little dazed, "Alright. Thank you for believing in me."
