Aria’s tone was flat.
In the past, Aria would have desperately tried to explain herself if Charles didn’t believe her, but now, she didn’t care.
He loved Flora, so he was willing to cover his eyes and ears and believe only her.
Aria couldn’t wake a man who was pretending to be asleep.
“Isn’t this just Flora twisting the story and claiming someone else is bullying her?”
“Exactly!”
Flora hadn’t expected Aria to actually release the video publicly.
“Aria… why are you bullying Flora?”
Lilith approached, wearing a floral dress. She was thin, and her face was pale and drawn.
She stood there cautiously and said in a low voice, “Flora is my best friend. Even if you don’t like me, can you please not bully her?”
Charles looked up. “Lilith, what are you doing here?”
“I had to come in for a blood test today. I saw the commotion and came over…” Lilith bit her lip and whispered, “I didn’t expect to see you bullying Flora again…”
“Again?” Hazel immediately interjected. “Ms. Rowan, have you seen Aria bully Ms. Keene before?”
Lilith glanced at Aria’s expression and gave a small nod.
“Yes. In high school… Aria was always bullying Flora. It’s probably because Flora and I were good friends, and I dragged her down with me…”
Hazel turned to Aria. “Aria, do you have anything to say?”
Aria put her phone away without even looking up. “Oh.”
Charles, seeing Aria’s nonchalant attitude, felt a flicker of annoyance. His voice grew louder. “Is that your attitude?”
“What else? I have video proof, while all they have are words. If you’re still willing to believe them over the video, then I have nothing more to say.”
“Lilith just happened to be here today! Are you trying to say that Lilith and Flora conspired to frame you today?”
Aria pressed a hand to her lower back but didn’t speak.
