It didn't help that his relationship with Ethan had turned sour. The Adams Group had pulled out of several collaborations with The Lane Group, leaving Jackson absolutely furious.
Jordan knew he and Ethan couldn't go back to the way things were. Ethan was no longer the blinded fool who indulged Natalie's every whim. Plus, Ethan still hadn't returned from his business trip, leaving Jeremy and the other Adams executives to run the show.
Even though Jordan had grown up with the younger Adams brothers, they didn't humor him or Natalie the way Ethan once did. They were strictly business, refusing to let personal history sway their corporate decisions.
It was a harsh reality check. Jordan suddenly realized that his social standing in Cabinda wasn't because he was an heir to the Lane family. It was solely because he was Ethan's best friend.
Without Ethan's backing, Jordan didn't even have what it took to fully take over The Lane Group.
His father had always berated him for not being as capable as Ethan, a comparison Jordan had fiercely resented.
Now, he had to swallow his pride.
He really wasn't in Ethan's league.
And the Lane family certainly couldn't hold a candle to the Adams family.
The thought of his cunning, ruthless younger half-brother sent a wave of panic through Jordan. He needed to seize total control of The Lane Group and systematically siphon its shares into his own name before the kid grew up.
Once he did, the company would be entirely his. If Deborah and Kevin thought they were getting a slice of the Lane family's billions of dollars, they were dreaming!
"Dad, I'm not saying I'm definitely divorcing Natalie. It's just... hard to process what happened. My mind is a mess, and I don't know what to do. You have to give me some time to figure this out."
"Go back and tell Natalie to get an abortion before more people find out she's pregnant. I'm not taking any risks."
Even if the baby somehow turned out to be his, he wanted nothing to do with it now.
"Tell her to come home and act normal. Tell her not to let her mask slip. I won't say a word about the photos, and I doubt Isabella will run her mouth either."
Isabella's goal was merely to destroy their marriage.
And she had succeeded.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
I will be devastated if Isabella and Ethan will get back together. Please, writer, Isabella deserves Harold....
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
