Mia didn’t see the point in trying to talk Sophia down. Sophia’s temper was only going to land her in trouble one day. Her parents might spoil her for now, but once they were gone, what would happen if she managed to tick off both Ethan and Isabella? Who would welcome her back when she needed her family?
Mia had just met Isabella for the first time, but it was obvious from the way Susan treated her that Ethan truly cared. Right now, the Adams family elders might be keeping Isabella outside their doors. But what about later, when Isabella had a child? They’d be the ones begging her to come back.
Isabella had no idea Mia was warning Sophia about all this. After the two left, she didn’t go upstairs right away. She just sat on the sofa, lost in her own thoughts. Susan hovered nearby, looking like she wanted to say something.
“Susan, if you want to say something, just say it. I won’t get mad.”
Susan hesitated, then spoke up. “Isabella, you probably don’t know much about Ms. Clark. I’ve worked for the Adams family for a long time, so I know her. Jennifer really likes Mia, thinks she’s the only one good enough to be her daughter-in-law. But Ethan has never looked at Mia that way. Not even a little bit.”
“The Clarks have lived overseas for years, and Mia hardly ever comes back. She and Ethan barely know each other. There’s no way he’d ever be interested in her. Isabella, don’t listen to Sophia’s nonsense.”
Sophia just couldn’t stand the idea of Isabella being happy. She was set on breaking up Ethan and Isabella. All of Sophia’s friends had a thing for Ethan, and even though he clearly wasn’t interested, Sophia kept bringing them over, hoping one of them would catch his eye.
Susan couldn’t help thinking Sophia was just lucky to be born into the Adams family. If she’d grown up anywhere else, someone would’ve smacked that attitude out of her by now.
“I’ll call a car.”
“Let me get a driver for you. Just tell him where you want to go.”
Isabella didn’t argue, so Susan quickly arranged it for her.
After Isabella left, Susan sent a voice message to Ethan. “Ethan, Sophia came by with Mia. Isabella seemed really upset afterward and went out. I’m not sure where she went, but I sent a driver with her.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
