Isabella’s first reaction was to say no. “Aren’t you busy? You really don’t have to come with me.”
Ethan just smiled. “I’ll come and pay for everything. Isn’t that a good deal?”
Isabella stared at him, speechless. He never missed a chance to throw money at her.
“We’re married, Isabella. My money is yours. You might as well spend it,” Ethan said, trying to coax her.
“Once we finish with the furniture, I’ll take you shopping too.”
Isabella tried to wiggle out of it. “You could just transfer me the money. You don’t have to actually come with me. You’re swamped with work.”
“I already handed things over to Jeremy.”
She hesitated, then gave in. “Fine, whatever.”
Back in the shop, Isabella pulled Laura aside and told her Ethan was coming over. Laura looked at her, worry clear in her eyes. “Are you really going to keep living like this with him?”
“Of course not,” Isabella replied without missing a beat. “I’m going to divorce him sooner or later.”
She paused, thinking of everything that had happened. “I brought up divorce a couple days ago and he totally lost it. He threatened me, said if I brought it up again, he’d sleep with me and make our marriage ‘real.’”
Laura’s eyes flashed with anger. “What a jerk. He doesn’t even love you, but he’s still trying to control you.”
“He also said if I asked for a divorce again, he’d make sure I lost everything, even what my mom owns. I was so mad I slapped him.”
They’d only been married a little over two months, but Sophia had already shown up at their place more than once, bringing along women who had a thing for Ethan. Being rejected by your in-laws wore on you, even if you didn’t live together. The constant interruptions were exhausting. She’d been given another chance at life and had no intention of repeating her old mistakes.
Besides, Natalie would never just let Ethan fall for her. Isabella knew it was only a matter of time before Natalie started scheming, doing whatever she could to make Ethan misunderstand, to make him hate her, to make sure he’d never love her.
“So how are you going to get rid of him?” Laura asked.
Isabella didn’t have an answer. In her last life, Ethan only agreed to divorce after Natalie lost her baby. They fought all the time, and when she finally asked for a divorce, he said yes. Did she really have to go through all that again in this life? All that anger and hurt just wore her out. All she wanted now was to make her own money and live in peace.
Her phone rang again. She thought it was Ethan, but when she looked, Jennifer’s name popped up on the screen.
Maybe… Just maybe she could use Jennifer to help her finally get that divorce.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
