After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan) novel Chapter 430

"I already explained everything that day," Isabella said, her tone sharp and clear. "The wedding gifts were from Ethan to me. That makes them mine. Natalie, if you don't want to give them back, that's your choice, but then just divorce Jordan and go marry Ethan instead."

She glanced at Jackson. "Jackson just said it himself. Since he and my mom are married, Jordan and I are their kids now. A parent's job is to raise their children, not to talk about debts or favors. The only people who could ever claim my wedding gifts are Jackson and my mom, but both of them have said they don't want anything. So, Natalie, what gives you the right to keep what's mine?"

Then Isabella turned to Jordan. "Jordan, your wife is really something. She took your wedding gifts, then took Ethan's, too. Is she planning to marry both of you? Marry you, divorce you, then run off with Ethan? If not, then why is she accepting gifts from him?"

Jordan's face turned pale with anger.

Natalie shot to her feet, furious, and tried to slap Isabella. Isabella caught her wrist and shoved her hand away, her voice icy. "What's wrong? Are you angry because you were called out?"

"Isabella!" Jordan said, his face still dark. "Ethan married you. The wedding gifts were for you..."

"Exactly. So why is your wife still hanging on to them?"

Jordan had no answer.

"Mom!" Natalie shouted.

Adelina’s voice was cold and fierce. "Natalie, if you still think of me as your mother, you’ll return every single thing on this list to Isabella. Her mother is here. Jackson is here. Who are you to decide what happens to Isabella’s wedding gifts?"

Natalie’s father, Francis, stepped in too, disappointment and anger in his eyes. Ethan and Isabella’s words stung like a slap. He couldn’t believe his own daughter could do something like this. The media had already reported the gifts were worth hundreds of millions. If the Lane family had kept a piece of it, no one would have said anything, but Natalie had taken almost everything for herself. It was way over the line. And he was just now realizing how she had treated Cynthia all this time.
