“Natalie, I told you I’m tired. I need to rest. Just go home, okay?”
You could hear the impatience in Ethan’s voice, especially in the way he said those last words.
Natalie stood there, stunned. Was he really kicking her out?
“Oh… okay. You rest then. I’ll… I’ll head home.” She tried to pull herself together, putting on her most considerate expression. “Do you want me to make you something to eat first? You’ve been at the hospital all day. You probably haven’t had a decent meal, right?”
“I can cook something for you. You could take a shower and then come downstairs for a bite.”
Ethan tried to keep his cool. “That’s not necessary. I’m not hungry. You should go.”
He turned and went upstairs without looking back.
For once, Natalie didn’t chase after him. She waited until he was completely out of sight, then finally turned away and went downstairs.
She stood in the living room for a few minutes, quiet and unmoving, before heading to the kitchen.
Susan hurried in after her.
“Natalie, what are you planning to make for Ethan? Honestly, I don’t think he wants to eat anything right now.”
Ethan had already told Natalie to leave more than once, but it was like she didn’t even hear him. Susan couldn’t help but grumble to herself.
Natalie started rummaging through the fridge and pantry, checking what ingredients were left. She said to Susan, “I’ll make him some nourishing soup. When he wakes up, tell him to have a couple bowls, okay?”
“He’s been working himself to exhaustion these last few days, pulling late nights. Then last night, he stayed at the hospital with Isabella for hours. He looked so tired, it honestly broke my heart.”
“If it had been anyone else, Ethan could’ve been taken last night.”
“I honestly think Ethan and Isabella are a perfect match. With her, he finally gets to live like a normal person.”
“Isabella is his lucky star.”
Natalie turned to her, frowning. “Susan, do you even hear yourself? Did Isabella pay you to say that? How much did she give you to make her sound so great?”
“Natalie, I’m just telling the truth. That’s really how it is. Isabella doesn’t have to bribe me. I’m loyal to Ethan, and I’ll be loyal to Isabella too.”
“Isabella isn’t good enough for Ethan. Ever since they got together, bad things keep happening to him. He’s always sick, running a fever, and he’s gotten drunk more than once.”
Susan fell silent for a moment, then said quietly, “Whether she’s good enough or not, she’s still Ethan’s wife.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
