After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan) novel Chapter 506

Was Ethan going to regret it? He definitely did.

After leaving the hospital, he’d planned to go home, grab a quick shower, and then head straight to the office. But that dream kept replaying in his mind, refusing to let go. He couldn’t shake it. So, he changed his plans and drove straight back to The Adams Estate.

Stephanie was just about to leave for the hospital to see Isabella when the butler announced Ethan’s return. She stepped outside, standing at the door, and watched as his car pulled up and stopped right in front.

“Grandma,” Ethan called as he got out. “Where are you all heading?”

“Your mother and I were about to visit Isabella at the hospital. Why are you home? Shouldn’t you be there with her? I already told your brothers to handle things at the company so you could look after Isabella,” Stephanie said.

“Cynthia’s there now. She told me I’d been up all night and needed some rest, so she made me come home for a bit.”

“Mom, you and the aunts should go ahead to the hospital,” Ethan said.

Stephanie immediately understood. He wanted to talk to her alone, and it was clearly about Isabella.

Jennifer still hadn’t truly accepted Isabella, even after all this time.

She could accept Natalie, she could accept Mia, but when it came to Isabella, she just couldn’t bring herself to do it. And yet, Isabella was the one Ethan had married.

Stephanie sighed. “You all go on ahead. I’ll go tomorrow.”

Ethan helped her back inside and waited until they were both settled on the sofa. Then he told her everything about the dream he’d had the night before. He explained how Isabella, after her injury, had been asleep for so long and kept crying even while unconscious. When she finally woke up, she said she’d had a long, horrible nightmare. The strange thing was, their dreams were almost exactly the same. He shared all of it with Stephanie.

“Grandma, do you know any good fortune tellers? I was thinking maybe I could find one to do a reading for me and Isabella,” he said.

Stephanie listened and honestly found it all a little hard to believe. How could they have had the same dream?

“I don’t really believe in any of that, so I wouldn’t know any fortune tellers. It was just a dream. Don’t let it get to you. Isabella’s fine now,” she reassured him. “But if you really want to check, I can ask around. Someone has to know someone with real skills.”

“I heard the temple is pretty powerful. Maybe go there, light some incense, and pray for Isabella. She’s probably just been through a lot, and it shook her up.”
