Natalie looked annoyed, though Isabella was secretly thrilled. She kept her excitement hidden, acting as if nothing was wrong.
Deborah had once said that when she married into the Lane family, she’d make sure to put the fake, dramatic Natalie in her place. Isabella couldn’t wait to watch Deborah stir things up. The whole family would be in chaos. Honestly, Isabella could turn their drama into a short web series. Viewers would eat it up.
Natalie didn’t linger. After about ten minutes, she stood to leave. Ethan just stood there, not moving, so Natalie tried again. “Isabella, Ethan, I should get going.”
Isabella replied, “Take care.” She stayed where she was, propped up in bed, playing the injured patient.
Ethan added, “It’s pretty late, so drive safe. The hospital isn’t that far from your place anyway. Should only take you ten minutes or so.”
Natalie had clearly hoped Ethan would offer to walk her out. Instead, he just stood by Isabella’s bedside, not budging. He seemed completely oblivious.
Natalie felt a mix of disappointment and irritation. She grabbed her bag, stood up, and left without looking back.
Isabella poked Ethan, catching his attention. She lowered her voice and said, “Natalie’s leaving. Aren’t you going to walk her out? At least see her to the parking lot.”
Before Ethan could respond, Natalie’s voice called out from the hallway, “Ow!”
“Natalie, what happened?” In an instant, Ethan, who had been glued to Isabella’s side, rushed out to check on her.
Isabella rolled her eyes. “So much for acting uninterested. That’s the real you.”
Natalie was on the floor, clutching her left ankle and wincing. When Ethan came over, she looked up at him with a pained expression. “Ethan, I twisted my ankle. It hurts so much.”
He pulled out his phone and called Jordan. When Jordan answered, Ethan said, “Hey, Jordan. Natalie’s at the hospital. She came to visit Isabella and twisted her ankle. Are you done with your meetings? Can you come pick her up? I offered to get a doctor, but she said it’s fine. Maybe you can take her to get checked out when you get here.”
Jordan didn’t hesitate. “I’ll be there right away.”
“Great. See you soon.” Ethan hung up and turned to Natalie. “Jordan’s coming to get you.”
Natalie tried to play it cool. “Jordan’s probably busy with work. I didn’t want to bother him.”
Ethan replied, “No matter how busy he is, you should let him know when you’re hurt. I have to stay and take care of Isabella. I can’t leave her side.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
