No matter how many sides Natalie had, no matter what she did, Ethan always chose to forgive her. He loved her enough to cover up her mistakes, even going out of his way to fix things for her.
After a long silence, Isabella finally spoke. “Yeah, he really does love her.”
But in both lives, Ethan’s true love had never been Isabella.
“Isabella, you’re still young, and you just keep getting better. One day, you’ll meet someone even better than Ethan, someone who will love only you.” Harold tried to comfort her. “Ethan was never right for you. Your marriage was a mistake from the very beginning. Getting divorced is the best thing for both of you.”
“I know. I’m not even sad about it. If this had happened three months ago, I would have been devastated. I’d have cried nonstop and felt like my entire world was ending.”
“But now, I’m over him. I was the one who pushed for the divorce. He kept saying he knew he was wrong, promising to change, begging me to give him another chance.”
“He admitted he never loved me when he married me, but he thought we could spend a lifetime together.”
“So he didn’t love me, but expected me to spend my whole life with him, as if I’d just exist quietly while he stayed faithful to Natalie forever.”
“He made it sound like he was doing me a huge favor, as if I should be grateful for this kind of marriage, like I couldn’t possibly survive without him.”
Ethan, his family, even Jordan and Natalie, all acted like Ethan staying married to her was some sort of gift, and she should be thankful.
“I don’t want to talk about him anymore. We’ve filed for divorce. After thirty days, I’ll have the official papers, and we’ll go our separate ways.”
“I’m not even thinking about getting married again. I just want to focus on my business and making money. That’s what’s really important.”
Harold could hear the determination in her voice. He knew she wasn’t going to think about love again anytime soon.
“I knew Harold liked her,” he muttered. “But Isabella has no clue. She thinks he’s just a nice guy.”
“None of us, the ones picked as family heirs, are actually good people. She doesn’t realize that. Harold’s going to trick her.”
“Barbara acts like Isabella’s best friend, but she’s just helping Harold get close to her. Isabella’s walking right into the trap they set.”
“No. Isabella is my wife. I won’t let Harold steal her from me.”
“Even if we’re divorced, I’m going to win her back.”
Natalie crossed her arms. “You’re already divorced. Why bother? She’s over you. This divorce cost you hundreds of millions. If you marry her again and get divorced again, you’ll lose even more.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
