“If I get back together with Isabella, why would I ever let us split up again? The only reason I’d try to win her back is because I’ve truly fallen for her. And when I love someone, I’m in it for life. I’d never walk away.” Ethan’s voice was rough, almost a shout, directed straight at Natalie.
As soon as he finished, he saw the shock on her face and took a few deep breaths, trying to pull himself together.
He softened his tone. “Natalie, let me have the driver take you home. I’ll just grab a cab to the office.”
“Ethan.” Natalie’s voice trembled a little. She wasn’t used to him raising his voice. He’d never yelled at her before. The things he said stung even more.
He’d actually said that if he decided to chase after Isabella again, it would mean he’d fallen for her. So, he was really ready to let go of his feelings for Natalie? If he didn’t love her anymore, what did she have left with him?
She tried to keep her voice gentle. “Don’t be upset, okay? If you’re feeling down, just take a few days off. Don’t worry about work.”
Natalie figured Ethan was just lashing out because he was hurting from the divorce. She didn’t want to hold it against him.
Ethan’s voice dropped so low it was barely a whisper. “My wife’s leaving me. How could I not be upset?”
Watching Isabella leave with Harold had only made it worse. But there was no point in explaining that to Natalie. She’d never understand.
He told the driver to take Natalie back to the Lane family’s house, then went to the curb and flagged down a taxi, heading straight for The Adams Group offices.
“Natalie, what made you think of me today and invite me over? Seriously, thanks. If you hadn’t called, my aunt would never have let me go. It’s so annoying. My mom keeps insisting I learn etiquette from my aunt, but honestly, I was born with class. Do I really need lessons?”
She rolled her eyes. “Is there anything embarrassing about the way I carry myself? Grandma totally plays favorites. Ever since Ava was born, she barely spoils me anymore. Most of her affection goes straight to Ava.”
Ava was still just a little kid, but she was adorable and always said the sweetest things. The whole family doted on her now.
Sophia couldn’t help feeling jealous that Ava was taking over her place as the family favorite.
“Jennifer just wants what’s best for you. Stephanie’s getting older, she’s bound to get a little forgetful sometimes. Don’t take it too seriously,” Natalie said, meeting Sophia at the steps. She slipped her arm through Sophia’s and smiled. “If you ever get tired of it all, just come hang out with me. I promise, I won’t make you do anything you don’t want to do.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
