Laura leaned in and whispered, “If you’re going, I’m in too.”
She’d never set foot in a place like that, and honestly, she was dying to see what it was all about.
“Isabella, what did you say?” Cynthia’s voice called out. “I didn’t catch that.”
“Nothing, Mom, just chatting with Laura,” Isabella replied quickly. “You go have fun with Uncle and Auntie, stay out as long as you want. No need to rush home. I’ve got things to take care of here.”
Cynthia’s tone softened. “Alright, but don’t overwork yourself. Make sure you eat, drink, and sleep well. Take care of yourself.”
“Don’t worry, Mom. I promise I’ll take care of myself.”
After all, she’d already stared death in the face once. She wasn’t about to be careless with her life now.
Once the call ended, Isabella nudged Laura and lowered her voice. “So, are we really doing this tonight? Should we go check out a male host club?”
Laura shot her a look. “Wait, you’re actually serious?”
“Absolutely,” Isabella said, grinning. “I’m not Mrs. Adams anymore. I don’t have to think about anyone else’s expectations. I can finally do what I want, relax a little. We’re just going to see what it’s like, nothing wild. I’ve always been curious, you know? I hear the guys there are unbelievably good-looking.”
Laura laughed. “Come on, no one’s going to beat your ex-husband in the looks department. And Harold’s not exactly hard on the eyes either.”
Ethan was kind of famous around Cabinda for being the most handsome guy in town.
Isabella rolled her eyes. “Please, I see their faces every day. I’m immune. I just want a change of scenery. Actually... maybe you shouldn’t go. I can just go by myself.”
She was the good girl in her family. Just the thought of her parents hearing she’d gone to a male host club would start World War III at home.
“Same here,” Isabella sighed. “If my mom or uncle found out, I’d never hear the end of it. Forget it. If we want to look at handsome guys, aren’t all the actors we’ve signed total heartthrobs? Watching them is way safer than going to some club.”
They weren’t actually planning to hook up with anyone. They just wanted to look. And now that they were half in the entertainment business, there was never a shortage of gorgeous people around.
“True,” Laura agreed, then lowered her voice again. “Are you really sure you don’t want to go? We could dress up in disguises, you know. No one would recognize us.”
Not many people in town knew Laura. Isabella was a whole different story. She’d been Mrs. Adams for months and even made the entertainment news headlines. It’d be way too easy for someone to spot her at a male host club.
“I’m sure,” Isabella said with a laugh. “I’m not going. Here’s the plan instead. Tonight, I’m inviting everyone over to my place. I’ll cook up something amazing, and we’ll have a few drinks at home. Let’s just have fun there and see where the night takes us.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
