Isabella paused for a moment before saying, “Ethan gave me the villa we lived in after we got married. He just took his personal stuff and left everything else as it was. He didn’t even touch his collection of fancy wines and teas. He told me they were mine now. We should open a couple of good bottles and have a drink to celebrate my new life.”
“I’m definitely in,” came the reply.
And that was that.
Isabella immediately called Linda and Barbara, inviting them over for dinner that evening. Both of them already had plans, but as soon as they heard Isabella had gotten her divorce certificate and was going to cook for them herself, they said yes without even thinking.
After her call with Isabella, Barbara dialed Harold. At the time, Harold and Ethan were sitting in the café on the ground floor of The Cabinda Hotel. Both had ordered coffee, but neither had taken a sip. They just sat there, staring each other down like they were in some kind of silent standoff.
Harold glanced at his phone and then turned to Ethan. “I need to take this outside.”
“Who’s calling?” Ethan asked.
“Barbara.”
“If it’s Barbara, can’t you just answer here? Or are you two plotting how to steal Isabella from me and you’re scared I’ll hear?” Ethan’s voice was full of sarcasm.
Harold shot back, “Isabella isn’t yours anymore. You two are officially divorced. The divorce certificate is still in your pocket. She’s single now. Anyone can go after her. She’s not your wife anymore.”
Ethan’s face clouded over, but he didn’t have a comeback.
Harold walked out with his phone, not giving Ethan’s words another thought. They weren’t friends anymore. Now they were rivals.
“Barbara,” Harold said, picking up once he was outside.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
