“Natalie probably has no idea about Jordan’s affair, does she?”
Isabella pictured the two of them at the banquet, looking so in love, even dancing together. The whole room had watched them, thinking they were the perfect couple.
“Jordan would never let her find out,” someone said quietly. “If she did, they’d be at each other’s throats, and that would be a disaster for The Lane Group.”
It was true. The Lane Group and The Gates Group were practically joined at the hip. Most of their deals with The Adams Group happened because Ethan wanted Natalie to have a good life after she got married. He always made sure The Lane Group got every project they could handle.
Plus, Jackson and Cynthia had just gotten divorced. It hadn’t really hurt The Lane Group, but if Jordan and Natalie split, it would be a whole different story. The business would take a hit, and the Lane family’s reputation would be trashed. A father and son, both divorced? Not to mention Isabella herself—also divorced. People would start saying there was something wrong with the whole family.
Isabella couldn’t help but smirk. “If Natalie ever finds out, she’ll tear the Lane family apart. Things have been shaky ever since Deborah married in.”
That night at the party, Jackson had brought Deborah along and introduced her as his wife. It was official now. Deborah even told everyone they’d have a big wedding soon and that everyone was invited.
Jordan and Natalie had just stood there, fuming on the inside, but they couldn’t say a thing in public.
“Jordan really is a jerk,” Isabella said. “His father’s affair blew their family to pieces. He hated it, said he’d never be like that, but now he’s doing the exact same thing. Like father, like son.”
She almost wanted to see Natalie catch him in the act, just to watch her lose it.
He’d warned Ethan before, but Ethan never listened.
Now Ethan was fighting him over Isabella, constantly telling him to step aside and promising him business deals with The Adams Group if he did.
Harold refused every time.
He told Ethan that Isabella was priceless to him. No amount of money or business could ever change that.

I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped,mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....

Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
