After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan) novel Chapter 834

Harold was feeling annoyed, and he didn’t bother to hide it.

He said, “Isabella, if any woman ever comes to you asking what it would take for me to be with her, just tell her I’m priceless.”

Isabella blinked in surprise, then laughed. “What, you think naming ten billion was too low?”

“Fine, next time Nadine tries to make an offer, I’ll tell her you’re priceless.”

Even ten billion wasn’t enough in Harold’s eyes. That was more money than most people could make in a few lifetimes.

He looked at her, serious now. “Isabella, you’re the only person I care about. I’m never going to like anyone else. It doesn’t matter if Nadine or anyone else tries to get between us. Just ignore whatever they say.

All you need to know is that I love you. I’d wait for you, for my whole life if I had to.”

He honestly felt like he’d spent all these years single just waiting for Isabella to show up.

“Harold…”

“Isabella, that’s all. You get back to work, I’ve got stuff I need to do too.”

He didn’t give her a chance to say more, worried she’d turn him down again. He hung up right away.

Isabella set her phone down and sat there, lost in her thoughts. After a long while, she let out a soft sigh, then pulled herself together and got back to work.

Around lunchtime, Ethan showed up again. He wanted to take her out for a meal, and he came carrying a bouquet—except instead of flowers, it was made out of cash.

The whole office stopped to stare as Ethan walked in, arms full of money blooms.

Everyone thought, Mr. Adams just won’t give up. He’s been chasing Isabella for so long, and even though she’s told him a hundred times she isn’t getting back together, he still won’t let go.

She wouldn’t take his roses, so now he was offering a literal bouquet of money.

I’ve told you so many times, but you never listen. Look, I have a lunch meeting with a client, so I need to go.”

That was her way of telling him he needed to leave.

Ethan pressed his lips together, then smiled gently. “Alright. Go meet your client. I’ll grab something to eat myself. Maybe I’ll ask you to dinner again this weekend.”

He gave her a long, searching look, then finally turned away and left, still hugging the bouquet.

He didn’t stick around or try to follow her out like he usually did.

Isabella had actually been ready to call security to get him to leave. She was a little surprised by how easy he was being today.

Once Ethan was gone, Isabella left her office, closing the door behind her.

She got into her car, but as soon as she pulled out of the parking lot, a black Mercedes suddenly cut her off, blocking her way. She slammed on the brakes, barely managing to avoid a crash.
