Isabella gave him a warm smile. “Most men might not have a sweet tooth, but not all. Everyone has their own taste, nothing to be shy about. Each pastry we make has its own special flavor. York, you should try them at your own pace.”
York grinned. “Then why don’t you pick a few for me? If I like them, I’ll be back often. Once my company is up and running, we’ll need snacks for the staff every afternoon. Maybe you could supply them for us.”
His suggestion made both women pause. Why hadn’t they thought of that before? They could do more than just serve walk-in customers. Partnering with companies to supply afternoon tea and treats could really open up new opportunities.
“Thanks for thinking of us,” Isabella said with a soft laugh, but she didn’t promise anything. Who could say when York’s company would actually open? And even if it did, would he really choose to work with them?
She honestly didn’t know much about him yet. Was he trustworthy, or was there something darker behind that charming smile? Supplying food to a big company meant taking on a lot of risk, especially when it came to food safety. If someone wanted to cause trouble, it wouldn't be hard to tamper with the food and blame her. Even if she could clear her name, that would take time, and her reputation—and business—could be ruined in the process.
With all that on her mind, Isabella decided she wasn’t ready to take on corporate clients just yet. The shop was doing well enough. After covering costs and paying her staff, she was already turning a profit. She didn’t want to get greedy and end up bringing trouble on herself, especially now that she had rivals like Natalie and Nadine watching her every move.
At a recent banquet, he’d told everyone he was looking to invest in Cabinda. That was why he’d shown up, hoping to meet the city’s business leaders and maybe work together in the future.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t think about that,” York said, sounding genuinely apologetic.
He turned to his security team. “Everyone, come in and grab a seat. Have a coffee.” Then he looked back at Isabella. “Could you bring some coffee and a few pastries for my guys? They’ve been running around with me all day. They must be starving.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
