After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan) novel Chapter 877

“If you just get back together with Ethan, he’ll treat you twice as well as before. Why do you have to fight me for Harold?”

“You’re already divorced, and Harold’s never even been married. It’s not fair for you to be with him. Please, I’m begging you, let him go.”

Harold’s face darkened. He hadn’t made any progress with Isabella at all. She had told him straight up that she didn’t want a relationship right now, so the two of them could only be friends.

He wasn’t about to give up, though. This was his chance, and he planned to hold on for as long as he could. The only way he’d ever step aside was if Isabella chose Ethan in the end. If that happened, he’d let go and wish them a lifetime of happiness together.

But Isabella had made it clear she didn’t want to get back with Ethan. She’d rejected him, no hesitation. That meant Harold still had hope.

Now Nadine was here, trying to convince Isabella to reconcile with Ethan.

Harold pulled out his phone and called his bodyguard, telling him to come in and get Nadine out. Her shouting was getting to be too much.

A moment later, the Carter family’s bodyguard walked in.

“She’s causing a huge scene and scaring away customers. Get her out of here,” Harold said, his voice low and cold.

Nadine froze for a second, then started screaming. “Harold, how could you treat me like this? Am I wrong? I’m just telling the truth! What did Isabella do to you? Did she put a spell on you or something?”

“She’s a divorced woman. She’s not even worthy to carry your shoes!”

“I’d be the one carrying her shoes, not the other way around,” Harold shot back.

Nadine was stunned into silence.

Isabella took a sip of her tea, then looked at him. “How many years has she been chasing after you?”

She’d never really paid attention to this stuff before. Harold’s private life was his own business. All she knew was that Harold had always kept a low profile, never caught up in any scandals. Even in her last life, when she died, Harold was still single in his thirties.

“A few years, maybe,” Harold said after thinking about it. “It probably started when I became the vice president at Carter Group—so three or four years ago. She confessed a few times and chased me for a while, but after I turned her down, she stopped.”

“Lately, though, I think it’s because Natalie’s been egging her on that she’s acting so crazy.”

Harold didn’t doubt that Nadine liked him and really wanted to marry him. But he didn’t believe she was actually as obsessed as she acted. He figured Natalie must have been the one stirring things up, making Nadine go after him all over again.

Natalie would do anything to make Isabella’s life miserable.
