When Isabella and Ethan got divorced, it was exactly what Natalie had been hoping for. But Ethan surprised everyone by being so generous. He gave Isabella a massive settlement and even took back the wedding gifts that Natalie had tried to claim for herself.
After the divorce, Ethan started treating Isabella even better. That only made Natalie more jealous. She began coming up with new ways to make Isabella’s life miserable, as if making her unhappy would somehow make herself feel better.
Even when Ethan started pursuing Isabella again, Natalie couldn’t help but be jealous. If Isabella said yes and married him, she’d still end up in a wealthy family. That thought drove Natalie crazy.
Natalie had always looked down on Isabella. She thought Isabella and Cynthia were beneath her, believing they only got lucky because of their looks. In her mind, beautiful women could climb into high society, but that didn’t mean they deserved it.
Isabella just shrugged it off. “The more jealous Natalie gets, the better I need to live. If I can be happier than her, that’ll be the biggest blow I can give her.”
“She’ll get what she deserves,” Isabella added quietly.
And honestly, karma seemed to be catching up with Natalie. Ethan was falling for Isabella all over again and wanted nothing more than to get back together. Meanwhile, Jordan had started seeing someone else.
Natalie had always been so proud, always used to being adored by those two men. Losing both of them at once? No wonder she was coming unhinged.
One evening, Isabella turned to Harold and spoke in a low voice. “Do you think Natalie knows York? That night at the banquet, I noticed she seemed really scared of him.”
“Laura mentioned the same thing,” Harold replied, his expression growing thoughtful. “She said York disappeared for a while that night, and so did Natalie.”
“They’re not supposed to know each other, but I’ll have someone look into it, just in case.”
“Either way, you need to be careful, Isabella. Those kidnappers’ accomplices are still out there. They’re probably waiting for another chance to get back at you. And Ethan’s a target too. You’re the easiest place for them to start. For one, they already wanted revenge on you.”
“And for another, they know how much Ethan cares about you. If they hurt you, it would destroy him. That kind of pain is the cruelest revenge.”
Isabella fell silent, her face growing serious.
Those kidnappers had been responsible for her death in her previous life. There was no way she’d ever forgive them. If she got the chance to send them to prison, she would do whatever it took.
“Thank you, Harold. You’ve done so much for me,” Isabella said quietly.
He shook his head. “You don’t need to thank me. Really, I haven’t done that much. And, to be honest, I have my reasons.”
His gaze softened, full of meaning.
He was doing all of this because he loved her, because he wanted a future with her.
Isabella smiled. “At least you’re honest about it.”
Harold grinned, not looking away. “I mean it. I don’t hide how I feel. I like you, Isabella. I want to be with you, and that’s why I’m always here for you. If a man is being this good to a woman, there’s always a reason.”
“I don’t really believe men and women can ever be just friends. There’s always something else going on. Love, money, or power—there’s always some reason behind it.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
