and ponds.”

“Where could it be?” Sadie wondered, frustrated.

Louisa thought for a moment. “Why don’t we try to find Mark’s friends? He was apparently good–looking and academically successful–he must have had friends.”

“You’re right!” Sadie exclaimed, suddenly remembering something. “There was a girl who also dropped out after Mark disappeared.

“Her name is Becky Taylor. I heard she and Mark were both excellent students and very close–possibly in a teenage relationship. She might know something.”

“What are we waiting for?” Louisa agreed. “If Becky was Mark’s classmate, she might know where this place with flowers, grass, and hills is

located.”

“Good. Let’s go to Virella Highlands this weekend,” Sadie said.

Louisa froze. “This weekend?”

“What’s wrong? Do you have plans?”

Louisa hesitated. “I don’t have plans, it’s just…”

Julian and Abigail would be in Virella Highlands that weekend for their date. She didn’t want to follow the same itinerary as them.

Seeing her reluctance, Sadie suggested, “If this weekend doesn’t work for you, we could try next week? Although I have several court appearances scheduled, so I’m not sure which day I’d be free.”

‘Let’s go this weekend then,” Louisa decided, no longer hesitating.

Julian could go on his date–it had nothing to do with her. Virella Highlands was a large area. They might not even cross paths.

And even if they did, so what? She was going for her own reasons, not because of Julian.

Sadie gave her a strange look. “What’s with you? You look like it’s the end of the world. Listen, this Vivian situation is complicated. Finding Becky is one challenge, and even if we do find her, convincing her to help is another problem altogether.*

After all, Becky came from an ordinary family and couldn’t afford to offend the Price family.

Hearing this, Louisa suddenly had a bold idea.

“What are you thinking?” Sadie immediately asked.

“I think you’re right,” Louisa said. “This Vivian situation has already taken up too much of our time. If we don’t get results soon…”

She looked directly at Sadie. “What if we set a trap? We could get Vivian to lead us to Mark’s body, then call the police and resolve everything at once. What do you think?”

Sadie smiled. “Ms. Forbes, I’m impressed. That’s quite the scheme. Tell me your plan.”

After Louisa explained her idea, Sadie nodded enthusiastically. “I think it could work. Wait here–I’m going to find Madame Raven to help

us.”

With that, she grabbed her suit jacket and car keys, leaving Louisa alone in the law office.

Since Louisa couldn’t accompany Sadie, she decided to return to the company. Passing a pharmacy, she remembered Noah giving her medicine the night before.

Though a small gesture, it had been a big help, and she wanted to repay the favor.

She stopped at an upscale coffee shop and bought a coffee and some sweet pastries, remembering that Noah had a sweet tooth.

When she arrived at the company’s underground parking garage, she spotted Julian’s car with Noah sitting inside.

Louisa approached them. Noah rolled down the window with a smile. “Ms. Forbes, what a coincidence.”

Louisa smiled back, but then noticed Teddy in the passenger seat. She felt awkward, uncertain whether to give Noah the treats with Teddy

present.

Noah, noticing her hesitation, asked, “Ms. Forbes, is that for me?”

“Yes,” she replied. “Thank you for the stomach medicine last night. I wanted to treat you to coffee.”

She passed the elegant gift bag through the window.

Noah was delighted, accepting it with both hands and a sweet smile. “I love these! Thank you, Ms. Forbes.” He eagerly opened the package, clearly tired from driving his boss around all day.

Louisa smiled at him like an older sister might, then turned to Teddy. “I’m sorry, Teddy. I didn’t know you’d be here. I only bought one set.

I’ll treat you next time.”

Internally, Teddy was lamenting: ‘My wants don’t matter–it’s the boss in the back seat I’m worried about!‘

He could already feel the drop in atmospheric pressure from behind him.

Teddy’s smile turned strained. “Don’t worry about it. No need to be so formal.”

Louisa nodded and prepared to leave.

Just then, the rear door opened, and a long masculine leg stepped out. In the next moment, Julian emerged from the car.
