Julian stepped out of the bedroom wearing a casual black suit. Less austere than his usual attire, the relaxed style only enhanced his

elegant handsomeness and exceptional presence.

Noticing Bob and Teddy huddled together whispering, he casually asked, “Find out what?”

“Nothing, nothing at all,” they answered in unison.

Julian shot them a suspicious glance, his cool voice taking on an intimidating edge. “Is that so?”

“Y–yes, absolutely, they stammered together, both visibly shuddering.

Did Julian know something?

He didn’t press further, though. Instead, he settled into the armchair by the floor–to–ceiling window, sipping water while checking the

day’s news on his phone.

Sunlight streamed through the window, bathing him in a golden glow. The effect was dreamlike, his beauty beyond description.

From their corner, Teddy and Bob exchanged glances. How could their amazing boss lose to some college student? They couldn’t accept it.

Meanwhile, Louisa, who was reaching for her phone, suddenly sneezed. Who was talking about her?

Shortly after, Julian departed. He left Bob at home, taking Teddy and Noah with him. The journey would take nearly three hours.

Noah, completely in the dark about what was happening, just found everything strange. He kept glancing at Teddy, hoping to understand

what was going on.

Teddy’s only response was a “don’t ask ́ look. Even he couldn’t explain what was happening.

Julian snapped his head up from his laptop screen. “Why would you mention Abigail?” Something cold flashed in his eyes, gone in an

instant.

Teddy was confused by his displeasure. What had he said wrong? In this situation, he couldn’t throw Louisa under the bus, but as fe

stammered, trying to figure out how to deflect-

Julian had already guessed. “It was Louisa, wasn’t it? What did she tell you?” His voice turned ice–cold. Even Noah, who was driving,

shivered involuntarily.

Teddy’s poor heart trembled. No secret remained hidden from his boss for long.

‘Louisa didn’t tell me much,” he confessed. “I accidentally mentioned you were going to Virella Highlands on business this weekend. She didn’t seem surprised at all, like she already knew.

“I thought that was strange, so I asked her about it, and she told me you were coming to Virella Highlands for a date with Ms. Foster…

After he finished, the car fell into dead silence.

“So… you’re not here for a date?” Teddy tentatively asked, seeing his boss’s darkening expression.

Julian didn’t respond. Noah, who was driving, couldn’t hold back. “Teddy, what are you thinking? Mr. Tudor likes Ms. Forbes–why would he date someone else? That’s practically cheating!”

Teddy was speechless. One thought dominated his mind: ‘We’re doomed! How could there be such a massive misunderstanding?

Julian’s entire body radiated coldness, his expression growing increasingly frigid. He remembered Louisa wishing him a pleasant weekend

two days ago.

He hadn’t understood what she meant then, but now everything was clear.

She thought he was going on a date with someone else? What kind of person did she think he was? And she smiled and wished him well?

Julian laughed–the kind of laugh that was cold to the core, “Is that so? And what exactly is making it so enjoyable? Spreading rumors about your boss? You must have plenty of free time,”

Louisa fell silent. He was mocking her again? What had she done? Nothing at all. She was already feeling down,

Jacob returned, holding two boxes of freshly cut fruit. “Louisa, have some fruit? How about apple? I’ll feed you.

Louisa instinctively tried to cover the phone, but accidentally hung up instead.

Julian’s expression had already darkened dangerously, almost radiating murderous intent.
