Chapter 249
“Stop, Louisa cut in. “Nothing happened between us. His dating is perfectly normal, no issue at all.”
“But he almost- Sadie began.
“I said stop.”
Seeing Louisa’s troubled expression, Sadie reluctantly fell silent. She finally understood why Louisa had reacted that way when she mentioned coming to Virella Highlands two days ago.
Julian. Well done, really well done. At that moment, Sadie felt like punching someone.
It wasn’t until they were nearly off the highway that Teddy finally responded to Louisa’s message. He hadn’t checked his phone earlier.
[Louisa, why are you at Virella Highlands too?] he asked directly instead of answering her question.
Louisa sighed. From his tone, Julian definitely knew she was here.
Teddy continued: [What are you doing here? Are you coming with us?]
[No, I have my own business here,] Louisa replied.
After sending that message, her heart settled, then she smiled bitterly.
Why was she nervous anyway? Julian was doing his thing, she was doing hers. She wasn’t trying to sabotage him, nor had she wronged him in any way. Why be anxious?
With this realization, she felt much more at ease.
However, after checking into the hotel and getting their room keys, they spotted a familiar figure walking ahead of them.
Was that Abigail? Here too? If Abigail was here, did that mean her date with Julian was set here? Would Julian be coming to this hotel as
well?
Louisa’s heart, which had just calmed down, grew agitated again. How crowded. Was this the only hotel in all of Virella Highlands?
Sadie didn’t recognize Abigail and didn’t notice Louisa’s discomfort–not until both groups were waiting for the elevator.
Ahead of them, one of Abigail’s friends spoke up.

“Abigail, what time is Mr. Julian Tudor arriving?”
“Around eleven.”
“I thought you said this Mr. Tudor was gallant, gentlemanly, and elegant. Why isn’t he here to pick you up? Making a
all the way here to wait for him?”
MECTORIE CRE
That’s right. The Tudor family might be top–tier, but the Foster family isn’t far behind. Isn’t he being a bit too arroganter
Abigail smiled gently, with a hint of shyness. “It’s fine. It doesn’t matter who waits for whom. I don’t mind.”
Her friend, seeing the honey–sweet expression on her face, widened her eyes in surprise. “Are you still the Abigall I know? Have you truly
fallen for him?
“But honestly, just from your photos, I can tell that Julian is extraordinarily handsome. I can’t imagine how good–looking be must be in person. No wonder you’ve fallen for him.
“Congratulations! You’re about to become Mrs. Tudor, the lady of the Tudor family.”
Abigail giggled with a bashful smile. “Oh, stop it, you.”
Behind them, Sadie listened to this conversation in bewilderment, repeatedly glancing at Abigail. So this was the daughter of the Foster family? Apart from her family background, how did she compare to Louisa in any way?
Louisa felt uncomfortable under Sadie’s intense stare–if she kept this up, Abigail would surely notice them. She pulled Sadie toward
another elevator.
While they waited, the doors to Abigail’s elevator opened, and her group stepped inside.
Sadie couldn’t help muttering, ‘Look at Abigail with that infatuated expression–no depth at all. Is this what Mr. Tudor likes?”
“I don’t know what he likes,” Louisa replied irritably. “I only know they’re from the same social class.”
Sadie scoffed. “So what if they’re from the same class? If you started your own business, you could establish your own fortune.”
Louisa laughed at her confident tone. “Then I’ll take that as a good omen.*
Sadie’s expression turned sympathetic. “I still remember you ten years ago–confident, radiant, believing love could overcome anything. And now, after just ten years…”
“Ten years is a long time,” Louisa said. “Long enough to teach us that even the greatest feelings are just a drop in the ocean when faced with destiny–the truly formidable force in this world. It can defeat everything.”
Sadie fell silent. She knew the Capulet family had hurt Louisa deeply. All her efforts couldn’t overcome what the elite called “class

‘As if I’d be afraid of them,” Sadie retorted. What she hated most in life were these so–called elite families–all glittering on the surface

As they talked, they reached their floor, Sadie had booked a large two–bedroom suite,

But turning around, she saw Sadie comfortably settled on the sofa while Jacob served her tea, prepared fruit, and even gave her a

Well, Jacob was essentially Sadie’s willing servant. The Watson family was a single–parent household, with both Sadie and Jacob raised by
their mother,
Their mother had poor health and passed away when they were very young, Jacob had been raised by his sister Sadie. Their relationship was close–Sadie enjoyed giving orders, and Jacob was happy to comply.
Louisa decided not to say anything. She munched on an apple as she walked to the window to check out the view.
To her surprise, the first thing she saw was a familiar car.
It was Julian. They had arrived too.
