Chapter 251
As Louisa debated whether to greet Julian, the crisp click of high heels approached from across the restaurant,
Then came Abigail’s delighted, expectant voice: “Mr. Tudor, you’re here!
Instantly, Louisa’s racing heart settled back to its usual rhythm. Like someone had injected her with a sedat, she s motly. No more need for deliberation. It wasn’t work hours anyway–he could have his date while the had hey meal. They said pretend to know each other.
Julian stared at the motionless back in front of him, then turned to look at Abigail, Gone was the polite demeanor from that bind dat
His eyes now held a frosty chill. “Ms. Foster, is there something you need?”
Abigail had been full of hope for today’s meeting. She’d decided if Julian wouldn’t make the first move, she would. But despite testing
herself like this, he remained cold.
She laughed awkwardly. “It’s nice to see you again.”
Julian didn’t extend her the slightest courtesy–no invitation to sit, not even a polite pleasantry. He merely gave a curt nod, leaving be
hanging.
Abigail’s embarrassment deepened. At this point, walking away seemed the only option. And yet… she wasn’t ready to give up.
She bit her lip, looking somewhat hurt, and called softly: “Mr. Tudor…” Her tone held a hint of pleading
This time, Julian didn’t even spare her a glance, let alone respond.
The friend who had accompanied Abigail was stunned. What was going on? Wasn’t this supposed to be a date? Why was this Julian pay
completely ignoring her?
Abigail had never faced such humiliation before, standing awkwardly by Julian’s table. People around the restaurant kept glancing over, wondering what was happening.
Teddy and Noah exchanged sympathetic looks for Abigail. But what could they do? Julian had clearly rejected her at their first blind date Yet she persisted, posting misleading social media updates, and now approaching him directly.
Julian had at least acknowledged her the first time, which was respectful enough. She just wouldn’t leave. Honestly, this awkwardness was
of her own making.
Meanwhile, Louisa hadn’t turned around, but she could hear the tension behind her and was equally confused. Wasn’t this a date? Why was Julian being so cold to Abigail?
In Louisa’s experience, Julian wasn’t like this. He was unfailingly polite even to household staff, his emotions controlled to an almost frightening degree. He’d never take out any frustrations on others. Yet here he was, treating a woman this way? Louisa found it

Back at Julian’s table, Abigail’s friend couldn’t bear to see her discomfort any longer. “Mr. Tudor, may we join you?” she ventured.
Julian didn’t even look at her, responding coolly: “I’m sorry, but I prefer not to share tables with women.”
Especially uninvited ones–though he kept this part to himself. He was already being merciful.
Abigail felt utterly mortified. Her fragile ego couldn’t handle Julian’s cutting remarks.
Teddy and Noah exchanged silent glances. ‘So… what about all those times you’ve shared space with Louisa?”
Louisa remained silent. ‘Julian, are you even hearing yourself?‘
Abigail’s hopes were fading. Maybe it was time to leave?
Then Julian suddenly spoke again: “However…”
His tone was deliberately measured.
Everyone held their breath.
Hope flickered in Abigail’s eyes.
But Julian continued, “If you’re determined to sit here, you could join that table in front. Ms. Forbes is my employee–I’m sure she’d
welcome your company.”
Louisa, who had been quietly listening to this drama, was speechless. How was this her problem? Had Julian lost his mind? Or was he
actually ill?
Teddy and Noah exchanged another look: ‘Our boss is so devious. Sending people to disrupt Louisa and her young boyfriend. How cruel is
that?‘
Abigail and her friend were equally confused. What did he mean?
The entire restaurant fell into an awkward, deathly silence.
Normally, when a man behaves this rudely during a date, a woman would leave immediately. But Abigail stayed. She briefly considered her options, though she couldn’t figure out Julian’s intentions. Still, she managed to compose herself, pushing past her embarrassment to
smile at Julian. “Alright.”
She walked toward Louisa’s table.
Perhaps accustomed to her privileged position, and knowing Louisa was Julian’s subordinate, Abigail didn’t even ask if Louisa minded. She

simply sat down in an empty chait, her friend taking another. The four seats at the table were now filled.
Louisa watched their smooth maneuver with disbelief. What was wrong with these people? Julian was clearly unhinged And Abigail was
just as bad.
But Louisa refused to indulge them. With a polite yet cold smile, she addressed Abigail, “Me. Foster, we’re expecting someone else, If you
like this table, you’re welcome to it.”
The restaurant had plenty of other empty tables, after all.
Louisa stood up, and Jacob followed her lead.
Before they could leave, Abigail grabbed Louisa’s arm. “Ms. Forbes, won’t you join us?”
Louisa looked down to see Abigail’s reddened eyes, silently pleading for help. Louisa hesitated. What was even happening? Abigail gazed up at her with such a pitiful expression… Perhaps Abigail wasn’t spineless, but simply didn’t know how to exit gracefully?
Still, that wasn’t reason enough for Louisa to play along. She didn’t want to get involved in whatever was happening between julian and
Abigail.
As she wavered, Jacob spoke up, Louisa, why don’t we stay for a bit? We can move later.”
Fine. Louisa reluctantly sat back down.
Julian couldn’t see her expression, but he knew she was unhappy. His own expression grew unreadable.
Just then, his phone vibrated on the table. The screen displayed: Mom.
Julian answered, his tone cold: “Mom.”
On the other end, Adeline didn’t notice his attitude, asking cheerfully, “Have you met Ms. Foster yet?”
