Louisa’s voice rose with anger, her final words almost a shout.
George fell silent.
Her words, filled with disgust for him, stung like salt in an open wound.
Louisa thought he d finally run out of excuses. That maybe he d show a shred of decency.
Instead, he responded, “When did I ever say that? Don’t falsely accuse me. Even if I said it, I was definitely forced to.”
Louisa couldn’t believe what she was hearing. How had she never noticed just how shameless this man could be?
George looked at her with pleading eyes. “Louisa, I never meant to lie to you. Can you please stop talking to me like this? Once this is all over, can we
we at least be friends?
*Julian isn’t all that great anyway. He’ll end up marrying whoever his family arranges for him. And knowing you, you’d never be someone’s mistress. I know
you too well.
“So please, stop seeing him, okay?”
Louisa was speechless. This had nothing to do with Julian. Why did he keep bringing him up?
She took a deep breath and continued, “George, even if I’m not with Julian, I’ll never get back together with you.
“And speaking of relationships, have you forgotten about your fiancée? Vivian–the woman you’re about to marry–is fighting for her life in a hospital after being stabbed multiple times. She’s even carrying your child, for God’s sake.
“Are you abandoning them? You’re neglecting your fiancée and your unborn child? Do you always discard what you have so easily? Have you no shame?
‘She’s not pregnant,” George replied. “I only agreed to marry her because I was forced to. I had no choice.”
Louisa laughed bitterly. “No choice? That should be your life motto, George. When you die, they should engrave on your tombstone: Here lies George, who
never had a choice.”
‘Do you really have to talk to me like that?” George asked.
Louisa said nothing. Wasn’t she just stating facts?
Whatever. There was no reasoning with George.
‘I’m hungry,‘ she finally said. “I need breakfast.”
George’s expression brightened, thinking she was finally giving in Ill take you to eat, he offered eagerly.
Little did he know, Louisa was calculating that being trapped in het room was wase than taking a chance in public. Maybe someone could help her.
But George held her hand tightly the entire way. She had no chance to escape, 4 she didn’t want to create a scene by screaming for help.
At this time, Sadie and Jacob should be in the restaurant.

Chapter 276
Sure enough, in the hotel dining room, Sadie and Jacob were having breakfast with Noah.

Sadie had spent the night worried that her brother might be seduced by Noah, se she’d used breakfast as an excuse to check on the situation. Fortunately, nothing had happened, and the three of them decided to eat together.
Poor Teddy was off attending to his boss.
While waiting for their food, Sadie noticed Noah’s arm tattoo. “Noah, is that some kind of tribal design?” she asked curiously.
Noah’s eyes lit up. “You’ve got a good eye! It’s actually a combination of several elements…”
He launched into an enthusiastic explanation while Sadie couldn’t resist touching his muscular arm, running her fingers over the design–his arm, actually.
Not bad touch at all.
Jacob, uninterested in their tattoo talk, glanced around the restaurant.
Suddenly, two people at the entrance caught his attention–Louisa and George.
Louisa spotted them immediately, her eyes brightening. “Sadie! Noah! Jake!” she galled out, trying to move toward them.
George’s face darkened as he tightened his grip on her wrist. “Come with me,” he ordered.
People nearby were giving them strange looks.
Sadie and Noah both looked over. Seeing Louisa being controlled by George, Sadis expression hardened. That jerk was harassing Louisa again.
Without hesitation, Sadie tapped her brother. “Let’s go.”
Jacob was just waiting for her signal. They both stood up.
Unexpectedly, Noah grabbed Sadie’s arm. “Wait a second.”
“Wait for what?” Sadie asked.
‘Let me take a quick video.”
Sadie was dumbfounded. At a time like this, he wanted to take a video?
Noah quickly pulled out his phone, selected a filter, and captured Louisa and George entering the restaurant.
Everyone was stunned–Sadie and Jacob stared in disbelief, and even Louisa at the entrance was confused.
She was silently begging for their help, and they were taking photos? What was there to film about her and George?
Yet Noah continued recording enthusiastically.
He had a plan. Julian was moving too slowly in his pursuit, so Noah wanted to g him a push toward some romantic action.
That’s why he specifically chose a filter called “Romance.”
When the video was done, he proudly showed it to Sadie. “Take a look.”
Sadie was speechless.

Chapter 276
On screen, with romantic music playing in the background, Louisa and George appeared to be walking hand–in–hand into the restaurant. Pink cherry blossoms floated through the air. Pink hearts and bubbles rose from the bottom the screen, nearly overflowing.
In this environment, even Louisa’s murderous glare looked like playful flirtation.
Sadie swallowed hard and looked at Noah in disbelief. ‘Do you have a death wish
If Julian saw this video, wouldn’t he kill Noah?

“Not at all! I’m creating a romantic opportunity for my boss,” Noah replied confidently. “Just help me out and let my boss be the hero who saves the day:
Sadie had no words.
She didn’t mind giving Julian the opportunity, but was Noah sure this approach would work?
Noah, completely confident in his plan, casually sent the video to Julian.
Julian was in his room watching financial news, already not in the best mood. When the message notification popped up, he opened it.
Immediately, he was assaulted by a romantic atmosphere. The background music was a classic 80s love song, its melody gentle and familiar.
Teddy, who was ordering food nearby, heard it and laughed. Julian listened to this kind of music?
But when he glanced over, he saw his boss’s face had turned ice cold.
Teddy instantly stopped laughing and tried to peek at what was happening.
Julian had already put away his phone. His voice was sharp with barely contained fury: “Cancel the order. We’re going downstairs!”
