Chapter 277
Teddy had no idea what was happening, but seeing his boss s murderous expressin, he quickly followed him.
Just as they left, Teddy’s phone also pinged.
While waiting for the elevator, he checked his phone. A video from Noah?
Still clueless about the situation, he opened it.
Instantly, the same romantic song that had played on Julian’s phone echoed through the hallway.
Teddy only needed one glance before hurriedly closing it.
Was Noah trying to get himself killed? And why drag him into this? He was just trying to earn a living.
Before he could put his phone away, Julian extended his hand, his face expressionless. “Give me your phone.”
Trembling, Teddy handed it over with both hands, his face crumpling. Please dont smash it. I just got a new one.”
Julian gave him a cold look, said nothing, deleted the video, and returned the phone.
Teddy quickly stuffed it back into his pocket and followed Julian downstairs.

His mind raced. What was Noah thinking, sending that video? He couldn’t just be suicidal.
Then Teddy remembered last night: Noah had been huddled with Jacob, eagerly learning how to make videos. Jacob had patiently taught him about adding background music and filters.
Jacob had said something like, “Use the music and filters that express the mood you want.”
That advice made sense for normal people. But Noah wasn’t normal. Raised in isolation with specialized training, he had his own logic.
He must have misunderstood mood as “message.”
This was a disaster.
Meanwhile, in the restaurant, Louisa was forced to sit with George. She had silently pleaded with Noah and Sadie for help several times.
She couldn’t understand why they were pretending not to see her.
Noah was looking everywhere but at Louisa–at the ceiling, at the floor, even asking the waiter about their food. He didn’t dare look her way. This was his future boss’s wife, after all.
Sadie was equally tormented.
Ignoring her friend’s silent pleas was painful enough, but she also worried: would Julian misunderstand after seeing that video? Louisa had already crossed boundaries with Julian last night. If he misunderstood now… how could their relationship progress?
Sadie couldn’t take it anymore and stood up to intervene.

Bet Noah adamantly stopped her.

Please, he begged, hands pressed together. Just wait. My hoss rarely likes any. We need to help him frust me, he’ll be here soon. Please give him this
chance.
Sadie considered this and reluctantly agreed.
Jacob, however, couldn’t wait.
I’m going to rescue Louisa,‘ he declared, standing up.
Unexpectedly, Noah slammed his fork down on Jacobs hand, leaving it red and stinging. Sit down! This opportunity belongs to my boss only. Try to steal it
and I’ll destroy you.”
Jacob and Sadie were speechless.
A crazy person wasn’t scary. A crazy person with combat skills was terrifying.
Meanwhile, after multiple failed attempts to get help, Louisa had given up.
With George gripping her hand tightly, escape was impossible. She could only look around for other opportunities.
Suddenly, a shadow fell across her vision.
She looked up into a pair of deep, bright eyes. “Julian!”
Her eyes lit up when she said his name, but the light quickly faded.
How could she ask him for help? After what she’d done last night, she hadn’t ever figured out how to face him. And now he d caught her entangled with her
ex–husband.
Would Julian think she was promiscuous?
Her heart sank.
Julian noticed her suddenly dimmed expression but couldn’t guess her thoughts.
Without addressing her, he turned to George with a cool, ‘Morning, Mr. Capulet.
Morning, George snapped back.
Then Julian sat down at their table.
It was a square table, with George and Louisa sitting at a 90 degree angle to each other. Julian took the seat on Louisa’s other side, directly across from

Julian glanced at their clasped hands on the table. Calmly pouring tea, he remarked. “She’s still injured there
Neither George nor Louisa had expected this comment. Both froze momentarily.
George looked at Louisa’s wrist.
The only fresh marks were the red imprints from his grip just now.

Julian was referring to older wounds–three scars on her wrist from when she’d been kidnapped before Vivian’s birthday, marks she’d made while trying to
escape.
Though healed, the scars remained.
George felt a pang in his heart and loosened his grip slightly, but still wouldn’t let go.
‘What’s the point of forcing her like this?” Julian asked.
George smirked. “Whether there’s a point or not is between us. Speaking of points, Mr. Tudor, what’s yours in always eyeing another man’s wife?”
Louisa was furious. “George, we are divorced!”
George stared at her. ‘You stay silent when he criticizes me, but the moment I say one thing about him, you get upset?”
Louisa was too angry to think. “Yes, exactly! George, say one more word about him and I swear I’ll fight you right here.”
Pain flashed across George’s face, but his words were vicious: “Louisa, are you that desperate to please him? Don’t you think you’re being pathetic?”
